Calling all Comic Book Guys and Gals! Now, i've never been much of a comic reader or purchaser. I mean, i think i've got a few copies of the Punisher and 2000AD in a box somewhere, from my youth when i genuinely tried to get "into" comics, and failed. But, in the late 1980s (I believe it was - possibly early 90s), I stumbled across a comic which was sold in "mainstream" newsagents etc., and clicked with me - at the time, i thought it was brilliant. I can't remember the name, but it was nasty. Each edition was a selection of twisted, subversive short stories. But as quickly as it had arrived, it was gone! Now this is a long shot, but i can't remember the name. Anybody have any ideas what it might be? I think the title may have been a single word. Like, "twisted", but it wasn't that.

Problem is, there are a whole lot of indie comics that fit that description. Plenty of twisted, subversive comics that are published by small presses. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
