Anyone know..... ...how much a massage therapist usually charges for a house call?

That's quite a bit. Here it's about $8 USD for an hour of traditional Thai massage. Eight bucks?! That's sooo low! The average is usually 40-70 bucks for an hour. I'm wondering about house calls though cause I'm gonna be a registered massage therapist kinda soon and wanna know how much I can reasonably charge (I'll probably be moving to the Michigan area by then). That would depend on your clientele. If you think you can cater to upscale clientele such as CEO' local celebs (sports people, newscasters) you may be able to charge up to $100 per hour. For some reason, those types of people tend to think they're getting somethinng specail if they're paying more for it. Maybe you can, however, do something special that no one else is doing (and I don't mean any funny business), such as using imported massage oils. You just have to get your name out there. A decent part of the business may be through referrals. | |

It depends on the area and the country...obviously...
....here it's around £25 upwards....but it depends also on what you want ...

Check some ads in the paper and call around. Pull out the Yellow Pages and check in with the reputable massage places. If this is a career move you're planning to make its gonna take a bit more work than asking around on the org. |
