Annoying vegetarians.

I've been watching The Best of VH1 this afternoon because I'm too tired to do much else. Anyhow, they've got the Surreal Life with Ron Jeremy & co. That annoying bitch who was on Baywatch is also on this particular episode. She's just debated, stupidly, about being a vegetarian.

I hate vegetarians who shove their way of life at people. I've been getting my vegetarian on for some time now, and I couldn't care less if someone eats a damn steak in front of me. Have at it! Eat your damn meat!
Insatiable taught me everything I know about balls.

Actually there are a few of those people on this forum as well and I also know a few IRL. I swear, they're just as bad as religious freaks.

HEY!!!!

Not all vegetarians are like this and I'm sick of justifying my own lifestyle. I only answer questions about it when asked and don't try to convert people.

What I DO do on these forums is comment on subjects of animal cruelty ... and defend my right to be a vegetarian.

I get pissed off at this type of thread.

Enough already.

No one asked you to. What this is about is stop shoving it in people's faces like you're some sort of over-religious Christian. That's bloody awful. No one's posting up threads about how we should all love meat and eat lots of it.

In response to Nero, this type of comment does make me defensive and I'll explain why.

I have never come across any vegetarian or vegan who has preached to me on the subject. Never. I have, however, come across people who have derided me and tried to convince me that eating a vegetarian diet is not healthy and some even go as far as to tell me I'm stupid to follow this type of regime and that mankind wasn't meant to eat a vegetarian diet. On that basis, I think I am right to respond to this thread and that my comments on the subject are as valid as anyone elses.

I get tired of justifying my viewpoint on this subject. It's my right not to eat meat and I defend it. To say that there are people who force vegetarianism on others just isn't telling the story as it is. We are by far in the minority and sometimes we get pushed to defend ourselves. Maybe it's different in your country but where I come from I don't come across militant vegetarians.

I haven't seen vegetarians here preaching to others either. I've seen the odd thread where people have asked for recipes or discussed meat-alternatives, but the only threads I can recall where the debate has been opened have been from meat-eaters criticising us.

I just want people to stop judging other people and it seems that us vegetarians are a minority that it's ok to pick on.

i would have to agree. sometimes debates get a little heated around here, but it seems to me that mostly veggies are responding to derogatory comments or false information. are there obnoxious vegetarians? sure. does that give people the right to generalize? you tell me.

You know since im like madly moody and pissed off right now...I think I'll post here. I personally thought..."Self...It would be cool to try out vegetarianism..." so I tried it...and then I'm like..."Self...what the hell is wrong with me....Im puerto rican I need my damn rice and beans and my damn MEAT"...So I stopped... I think its healthy to eat more veggies and all that crap right...but what drives me insane is theses scrawny ass girls...."oh look at me I don't eat meat cause ima get a fat ass....oh boohoo" ENOUGH ALREADY...Or "OMG I DONT EAT MEAT HOW DARE YOU!?" Its like okay shut the hell up and grab your salad and go ( I work as a chef )...I hear this eeeeevery day....so last night..I was preparing a rehearsal dinner...and the waitress wanted to eat...sure..eat away..oh nonono I only eat..salad she says....neutral << my face..."Meat is horrible"...neutral <<< I had to pretend to care...anyway....as I ramble on...my point is....there are some damn vegetarians who need to shut the hell up...tthe world dont need to know that they are vegans and that they don't eat eggs cheese and only survive on grass...Frankly my dear I don't give a damn...
