portraits - paintings

Can you think of paintings in which you see people from the back - so that you can't see their face?

extra question: some time ago, someone posted a beautiful painting of a Spanish woman seen from the back - she was doing her hair I think. What/whose was it?

Sorta...

Lee Friedlander often liked to photograph his own shadow in his work, which in a way could be considered a portrait depending on how you interperet it.

Doesn't Degas do a lot of women from the back? (I know I know... sigh )

Ballerinas and women bathing and such?

Yes, for example. I'm writing something about how writers are able to circle around their character (depending on the perspective, but still) and how painters can't...
I'd like to add some paintings with very specific profiles, so you can add details as a writer describing the side you can't see.

Clear? confused

Yeah, you're teaching your students about your booty fetish.

lol Could be.

But I don't have a booty-fetish. You should know by this question that I prefer titties-bellies-chests.
