Cali...cuz I've never been. NY is only 3 hours away and I can go there whenever I want.

I want the beach~!!!!! Not more credit card debt from NYC!

California...the entire state, from top to bottom, has such diverse scenery, especially if the three days are spent in February or March. I would start at the most northern tip...then spend the next three days leisurely making my way down to San Diego...stopping at small towns along the way, diverging into the national parks, driving thru the wine country, staying at out-of-the-way hotels along the beach and trying the local restaurants to end my day with food and wine...with my camera around my neck the entire time... nod

Even though I haven't been 2 L.A. yet, I don't know about it dominating N.Y.C. I always felt that NYC is the city that all others r judged by.

Sorry to folks that live there, but I really didn't care for LA. New York, on the other hand, is my kinda town!
But if you're talking San Francisco, well that's a city I could probably live in.

U know i felt the same way. I went to new york in 2000 and 2001 and i said new york destroys the west soast. Then a mont hlater i finally went to San fran, Los angeles and vegas and i said no way. I love los angeles and vegas so much i go every year. I love new york too last visit was 2 yrs ago and 2 weeks before wtc fell down in towers on a tuesday. But anyway. Los angeles has more entertainment, better highways and its free. I LOVE Los angeles and Las vegas. No town can compare to those two. Paisley park4 knows better than that to post this.

San Francisco was ok, but i love Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The 1-2 punch and only 3hrs apart. San Francisco to me is too hilly and the only entertainment i saw was the pier with the seals lying around. Then u have alcatraz in clear site also. Los angeles has so much more than that. San diego was boring and dull. I grabbed myself and ex(supposelyif thats what call em self) and high tailed to Los Angeles.

I've always wanted 2 go 2 Los Angeles ever since I was a kid. Watching shows like "Chips", "Swat" and movies like "Corvette Summer". I was and still am in2 cars. Even though I've never been, L.A. it's the only place I wouldn't 2nd guess about living in. But being a native New Yorker this city is like the 1st city 2 me. Even though it's crowded and expensive I love New York and proud of it. I find it curious that a lot of celebs especially with their privacy issues have residences in and around NYC. There must be something about this place.

then did you catch bart for a fifteen minute ride into Oakland to check out Jack London Square? And then take another five minute ride up to Berkeley and check out Telegraph where you can find the bestest food, vintage clothes shops, record stores (used and new) that would make you gage? oh oh oh...and homeless and smelly people to picture for days...
