MY ARTWORK vol 1 - BloodFest Posterity

I started painting again after years of nothing.

This one's called BloodFest Posterity.

It's acrylic on canvas with some oil crayon smudging.
The larger picture can be found here: http://home.tampabay.rr.c...myart1.htm

Since the painting is not done yet, I'll do something I"ve never done before.
I'll take suggestions brutal or nice, as to where to go with it now.

Needs more dangling crimson placentas.

I eventually want all the other subjects to be linked into the belly of the birthchild in the placenta there. I can't have more than one.

I wish I was joking, but it's serious this time. There can only be one.

It's just as well. I wasn't entirely sure what the plural of "placenta" was when I typed that.

Love the colors (!!) but it's a bit unbalanced... Something needs to offset that huge red area... hmmm

LMAO.

Does Kenny Scharf have a bad mood?

Actually, what little I know of technique seems would easily allow him to make bleak pix.

If you stress two primary colors and more or less omit the the third one, even if your picture is vibrant, it tends to evoke a eery feeling.

To my knowlege Kenny does this whether on purpose or not.

Actually, The Joyce image gave me an idea.
I think I should draw a hand at the bottom left of the image stroking the the lifeline that is going from the female figure to the placenta. Like it's trying to attain the life force from one or the other.
