It still effects me seeing people I've never talked to or interacted with taking a moment to post their words of support and concern...*smile*...I know I'd do the same if I were them, but to experience it firsthand is beautiful...thank you. As well as thank you to those of you that I do know who have giving me words of comfort, both here and privately...you may feel it was nothing, just a quick moment to type out a thought of support, but it meant far more to me than you know...and still does. I won't forget...
Oh, and thank you, AzureStarr... *big hug*.....I just heard your message. As for my dad, my sister's supposed to talk with me today and tell me everything she knows and everything he's told her...there is this feeling that, perhaps, this "disappearance" effected him as much as it effected the rest of us...*sigh*...he seems more willing to discuss living arrangements and such now. I pray this is true...

i am so happy that this worked out collective prairs do prevail Yes They DO!!! ... That's why I said reading my other thread effected me as much as it did...seeing so many people telling me that my father and my family were in their prayers, even just giving the prayer emoticon, it helped calm me some...and it was indeed the reason I started the thread, I did want prayers given out for my dad.. And I am eternally touched and greatful that so many wonderful people on this site let me know they would be doing just that..

Thank the Good Lord!!! I'm so relieved to hear this news!!!
Byron, I understand a bit of what you went through. A few years back my (now ex) wife went missing for an entire day. The sheer hell of waiting for some word, of not knowing where she was, was almost more than I could handle. I can only imagine the prolonged agony you suffered. Know that you & your dad were (and still are) in my prayers. God bless! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Know that you & your dad were (and still are) in my prayers. God bless! Thanks, Jedi...and yeah, it's an extremely hard thing to endure.. Since my father had "disappeared" before, it gave us a bit of optimism that this would end up just being another one of those episodes...but as my sister told me on the phone, you just know that one of these times you'll get a phonecall from the police not saying he's ok and is just disoriented, but that something much worse has occurred.. When he left all of his belongings behind (including both his meds AND his hat, which are both big things for my father to leave behind) it took it to another level of fear, worry and distress....I'm just glad it turned out well, even to the point that I think it effected my father quite a bit this time to be missing...he seems more willing to discuss getting a place to live. What happened to your ex on that day, if I may ask?
