I don't care what the song is about... I wasn't referring to what it inspired it. I was referring to how creepy it was that this song/video just happened to describe what happened with him and M in some regards. It was like a creepy premonition. There's another song of his that was like a premonition to what would happen with him and M. I can't remember which one it is though...

The video was not always on BET. Prince refused to give WB the video. On a side not, I'd much rather be by Tony M than Prince, or Levi for that matter.

Where did I actually say "Prince hates M?" I've never, EVER said that because I don't think he hates her. In fact I don't think he feels any which way towards her at this point it's been so long. To me the song is more about love than hate. But I was referring to the actual lyrics of the song, cheating, then splitting up, etc. Now how hard is this for you to comprehend?

No, it wasn't about her, they were together at the time. Duh! I absolutely love this song!! I have been listening to it repeatedly recently, can't get enough of it! In fact, I thought of posting about "I hate U" as well, because I wanted to say that I think this song has one of Prince's best vocal performances!!! The falsetto, along with his normal voice, plus his speaking voice ... I've been listening to this song on headphones - LOVE IT!!!!

You're right, sorry! My sister said that wasn't the video she was seeing back then, it was another one (TMBGITW?). But the song was always being played on our local station. I had told her M was in it, and she just said, "oh yeah, it was on all the time." (I wouldn't know, I was still in middle school back then so wasn't at home watching much tv). Then when she watched it today, she was like, "OH, I've never seen that." She isn't a Prince fan at all, but knows some of his song. She says she does remember the song being played like every hr bc she remembers that speaking to the judge part! And she says it drives her insane now that I play it so much because it she heard it so much before!!

OMG! Me too, I play it nonstop, I love the lyrics and his vocals are superb!! To me, it's one of his best songs ever, I put it in the top 10 probably!! And the video just adds to it, I've uploaded both of them to the pod and my phone, so I can listen to it nonstop!! This song and Electric Intercourse are on constant repeat with the songs/videos.
