I Am Kloot

A friend of mine recently suggested I check out the band I Am Kloot. He sent me one track ("Over My Shoulder") which I am totally digging..

They kinda remind me a bit of James.

Is anyone here familiar with them? Any thoughts? It's looking like I'll have to order an import copy if I want it, so I'm just trying to decide if it's worth it...

Thanks for any input!

I've got their last album. They're quite good.

Yes they are good. I have followed John Bramwell and his music for years. Here is a little potted history...
He is from Hattersley , just outside Manchester.I first saw him play at my local youth club in 1983. He was fronting a band called The Ignition. They played covers of Beatles , Jam and Bowie songs etc. Unfortunately they didn't release any records.
John Bramwell then went solo releasing records as Johnny Dangerously. It was acoustic singer-songwriter type material. He released a few singles , notably Black & Blue and Intoducing Jane ( as The De Buschias feat. Johnny Dangerously). He released one mini album "You, Me & The Alarm Clock".
He then went into TV , presenting local "youth" shows. It was one one of these shows that he met Tara Newley , the daughter of Joan Collins and singer Anthony Newley. They were engaged but later split. He became booking agent for The Night & Day Cafe in Manchester before entering the music business once more in I Am Kloot.

I have only recently bought the 2nd album. Not played it much. Too early to say but the first album is fantastic. If possible try to download TITANIC from the album to get the idea.

I saw them support Travis (I think) a few years ago in Edinburgh - I thought they were good but I was never that inspired to go and buy any of there stuff.
