Watching Charlie Rose right now...excellent interview with Annie Lennox! Dated 6/25/03, so maybe fans here have seen it already...but she is definitely a class act. Talanted, beautiful, intelligent, grounded. If more celebrities were like her...art would be so much more beautiful...

Well, it was a long conversation. Interview was the wrong word almost. Anyway, they basically just talked about music, her philosophy on it, Dave Stewart, and many, many other things. She obviously loves to talk intelligently about various things. This is what I loved about the interview...she didn't seem to have an agenda of pushing her new cd...just relating things she thinks leads to her music, her approach to it, and the fact that she would love to have 3-4 more conversations with Charlie! Check your listings...it's definitely worth watching. I may even buy this if they offer it on VHS or something.

I have to say that I don't think that I have ever seen anyone come off with such class, but at the same time be very obviously grounded and self-aware. If you go to Charlie Rose' site, there are tapes available for purchase...but, there are complaints about the quality of the vids on the msg boards. So I may try to catch it again and tape it myself.
But check out the site and the threads about the interview...not a bad word one.

Annie is a very talented singer/songwriter. I am not a huge fan, but I do respect the fact that she has talent and can definitely sing.

Same here. I never got into her music, but I like her as person in interviews or reports. She seems to be a very strong and real person without much showbizz, I like that.
