No surgery, come on! It's obvious that the woman has had plenty of stuff done, whatever it is. This is not the natural face of a 62 year old woman, and I dare you to show me the face of one without a single wrinkle, blemish, whatever! Even if it's not surgery, I can assure you that it's tons of botox, lighting, makeup, camera angles and films, etc! Let's live in reality here, not the twilight zone. Show me the real Madonna, the 62 year old woman, who rolls out of bed in the morning without a face full of makeup, lighting, and camera angles. The one with the body of a normal 62 year old, complete with all the aches and pains of aging, that goes along with it. Show me that Madonna, not the fake Madonna that she tries so desperately, to make the world believe she really is.

Makeup can create that effect

Makeup can only do so much and go so far. If it only took makeup, then there wouldn't be a need for botox, surgery, lifts, tucks, and what not, and every woman no matter what their age, would be walking around looking like they were still in their twenties, buying up the stuff by the tons.

That's an unrealistic view of it, though. And unfair to a woman.

First, she does look like herself. She looks like Madonna, and always will. She looks like Madonna at her age now.

Second, she's 62. "Express Yourself" came out when she was half that age. Literally, she was 31 for Like A Prayer. Nobody looks the same at 62 that they did at 31. And frankly, she - nor any woman - owes it to anyone to look the same for decades on end but guys get away with "aging gracefully" or whatever.

If "the plastic surgery went into overdrive," then how fucking different is she at this point? Not a lot, really. She doesn't exactly look like a Real Housewife, Jocelyn Wildenstein, Mickey Rourke, Janice Dickinson, or anyone else who has "went into overdrive" with it. To say she's unrecognizable is pure hyperbole, not reality.

I disagree. I'm the biggest Madonna fan you'll ever meet, I'll defend her to the end of the road but she doesn't look anything like herself, she's erased her face through facelfits, botox, fillers etc. Fine, I don't have a problem with anyone doing that. That's absolutely her choice. I'm just saying she looks like a completely different person and that's my opinion. Sharon Stone is the roughly the same age and still looks like Sharon Stone, just older. Madonna doesn't look like an older version of Madonna. She did in 2005 but not now. And it's not a gender thing, gay men are judged just as harshly for ageing, unfortunately.

I remember going to see it with my mum at the time of its release, and she loved it! The same thing happened with Who's That Girl, and Dick Tracy. The latter wasn't so bad though.
