I note that too often people excuse a 'reformed' drug dealer.
But never consider the actual life damage they set in motion.
How many people 'still' are hooked as a result, while they are moved on
How many people died as a result whether by OD suicide or murder

how many people girls (and boys) were turned out sexually hooked or pulled into the dealing life

How many women were sexually forced to get a hit

How many families were wrought with pain and trauma

How many peoples property were stolen

How many children were neglected and traumatized by a parent(s) who was hooked or dealing
How many people are going through counciling 10-50 yrs later

People don't consider that stuff when they celebrate the reformed drug dealer celeb

Only thing he can do now if he isn't already is to contribute dollars back to the community that he sold drugs in--to rehabilitation services, the schools, and to community development programs, the grassroots ones seving the residential community, not investing in building stadiums and such. That could help to repair some of the damage that he perpetuated as a street-drug entrepreneur.

Jay-Z is worth 1 billion dollars. He needs to give back. I agree with everything you are saying.

This argument is really about fighting over a woman. When, thirty years ago? Some negro mess, why am I not suprised.

That being said....

Drugs have been apart of American society since the 30s and drugs have been synonymous with musicians / music industry forever. Jay-Z was a drug dealer but there were also buyers. I get tired of people (especially American's) pointing their finger at others for bad choices they make. It takes two there's the seller and there's the user. I never understood why people would go down this road of self-destruction but the human condition is a very strange thing.


I remember the first time I saw heroin needles scattered about Halsted and Roosevelt in Chicago in 67. I went home and told my mother in 24 months heroin flooded my neighborhood like Covid-19. At first my brothers and I thought who'd be this dumb to shoot up that shit? If people were that weak, well and good let them wipe themselves out. Well a decade late we found ourselves (they call them interventions now) being called to help talk friends or a family member to go to detox. I find drug dealers and junkies have two things in common, they're selfish and self-indulgent people.

So, if everyone going to go this far than speak against the people who supported Rap artist that glorified street culture, and violence because these folks helped Jay-z' become billionaire too. We could go on and on with this but Marbury beef is really about fighting over a women twenty/ thirty years ago. We are one step away from going bake to Jim Crown and this is the shit he's hand wringing his hands about. The beef is about bruised egos... typical.

Truth about what? With all due respect did Jay-Z put a gun to these fools head, smoke crack or else? What black folks all folks need to do... is take responsibility for their decisions.
