Fans walked out of an RNB Friday event in droves on Friday night just two songs into Janet Jackson's headlining performance

Furious concertgoers accused the 53-year-old singer of lip syncing during her performance in Brisbane.

They also slammed the Black Eye Peas for starting their set 30 minutes late.

It comes just a week after fans slammed Ms Jackson's performance at the RNB Friday sister event in Perth on November 8.

Reveller Stuart Watson told The Sunday Mail that Ms Jackson's set was a 'disaster'.

'When Janet Jackson came on it was just a disaster,' he said.

'Her sound was just terrible. She would be singing and then all of a sudden just do random stuff.'

Stacey-Anne Ritchie said she had never seen so many people walk out of a concert.

Video footage showed Ms Jackson performing but she does not sound out of breath despite jumping around on stage.

While many blasted the sound quality not everyone agreed with the negative sentiments.

'I cant believe all of the people bagging the artists,' one woman wrote.

'I can't fault them and as for Janet Jackson I think we need to remember shes not 20-something anymore and with her choreography singing would be hard.'

Following Ms Jackson's performance in Perth last week Pamela Lewis, 34, said she was disappointed with the show.

'It was the worst performance of the night and probably the worst I've seen,' Ms Lewis said.

'Once [Jackson] was on stage she started lip syncing and it was so obvious she was dancing around trying to move the mic over her lips so we couldn't see and she kept putting her hair over her face.'

'Everyone started leaving and everyone was saying how disappointing it was.'

Some suggested Jackson's microphone might have been off making it look like she was lip syncing.

Ms Lewis disagreed and said the star's timing was all wrong.

'She was out of time for sure. We left when she tried to sing Together Again.'

Cherie Mathews said Jackson's mouth didn't match the screen and hundreds of people left during the Melbourne show on Saturday.

'I looked at my sister and said 'what the f***?',' she said.

'People on level two and three were chanting for the Black Eyes Peas to come back on while Janet Jackson was playing.'

Other furious fans commented on the Facebook event page with the same complaint.

'Janet Jackson's performance was shameful... Sorry to say but she should be axed,' said a Perth audience member.

Janet Jackson has never sung live at a concert in her life. She lipped sync the entire show when I saw here perform in Indianapolis twenty years ago. We (my brother and I) had 3rd row seats.

To be fair. Ms. Jackson's voice has always been razer thin, time brings bout a change. Janet is heavier (middle age spread) and at the age of 50, sister girl isn't going to, dance or jump all over the damn stage. I read stories of the pain James Brown went through ( rapping ice bags on almost hs entire body) attempting to do the same dances moves and splits on stage. I think that's why Prince did acoustic tours, sitting at at the piano or playing or playing an acoustic guitar.

Ms. Jackon isn't in the best of shape, lose 15/20 pounds, get in shape, and practice lip singing. Believe or not you still have to use circular breathing to do that!

I went last year to Panorama Festival NYC and Janet was incredible.

JJ has always lip synced, so what makes this any different? Why do people go see her and spend all that money if they think she's going to be acutally singing? They should know she never sings live, so suck it up buttercup.

When I read about this over the weekend, I was like, okay, so these must be fans who just discovered her last week because Janet has rarely, if ever, performed a live vocal.

Not entirely true. I saw her first tour RN up close and personal.

Not saying whether she did or didn't during portions of ths show. I know for sure she sung

live vocals on an accoustic performance of Come Back To Me She couldn't hide that. I also

saw her singing live on other songs. Amazingly my hometown was the 3rd stop on that tour. It seems to me as she got older and incorporated more dance routines her shows she did get lazy.

I still love her music and her shows but I'm not interested in her having 50 damn dancers on the stage these days. Just perform the music and scale back on the dance routines and even if her voice isn't what it is these days don't give critics a reason to criticize your shows.

By the way how have you been? Seems like we haven't crossed paths in awhile.

Hey you. phunkdaddy the Janet has always lipped her way throgh her music. I nnow, I'll give you a moment. When she was 100 pounds wet, you couldn't tell because ol' girl was flipping and dancing all around the place.

When I saw it took me awhile to catch it, until she was dancing her ass off, chorus part she stopped sing because Janet had to breath. Ya'll know the story: I bought concert tickest because my brother thinks Ms. Jackson is fine. I hunched my brother and said, I bought some damn exspensive tickets to hear her lip her way through! I didn't care my bro had a ball.

Its my understanding a lot of people walked out. It was also reported that Janet Jackson was just one of the artist singingt. I surmise some of the people were there to see the other singers and when Ms. Jackson didn't appear as young Janet folks, booed. Whatever street cred!!!

Janet does both these days. She had a scaled down show with the Number Ones tour and sang a few songs live just seated on a stool--no dancers. On other dance numbers she sings over a backing vocal or not at all if the dancing is too intense. She's not the only one who does this on dance numbers.

I saw her sing live in 2015! She styled away her microphone to cough, she breathed hard, she giggled (like La Toya), she said hi to people nearby. The backing vocal layers were beefed up when she was dancing hard, but her mic was on and she was sitting for the ballad set.

Lipsynching is sooooo STUPID! Do they not care that fans are paying astronomical prices to see and HEAR them LIVE? Otherwise, what's the fkn purpose of a concert if you're only going to make believe you're singing? It's a major ripoff and of the utmost disrespect 2 those who supported your ass for your entire career with dedication, loyalty, appreciation and above all, hard-earned loot. It's completely unacceptable and in bad taste; a slap in the face 2 the fans. How embarrassing for her 2 have had an audience literally walk out of the show.

This is no surprise and "fans" of Janet mad at her from lip-syncing need to look themselves in the mirror.

I saw Janet on the All For You tour in September of 2001. I was at club level and far away. Since she was born with two lungs, I knew she couldn't dance the way she danced and sing the way she "sung" at the same time. I didn't go to the show expecting Ella Fitzgerald. I expected to be entertained. And I was, it was a memorable show.

If fans show up to McDonald's in 2019, and get mad when they don't get a NY Strip, it's on them.

The woman is 53, and there's just no way that she is going to be dancing like she did on her videos, and singing live to boot! Janet was young and very fit during her video days, who could dance her butt off.....she is no longer that person, so I don't know why some fans expect her to be that Janet at 53.

Uhm, yeah. She does sing live. But it's always a mix of her singing live, backup tracks and backup singers. She dances for 90 minutes, so that's somewhat just how it's going to be.

That might be true for singers who just stand there and sing and couldn't dance to save their lives. It's a difference for visual artists, who have released iconic dance videos. That is part of the show, part of the entertainment, part of why people pay to see these shows. The older one gets, the harder dancing and singing simultaniously gets. So don't be an ass and do not brush everyone over the same comb. It is no rip off if a dance artist enhances their live vocals with backup tracks. No one wants to hear an out of breath singer/dancer.

And since she was performing on a festival, no everyone was there to see her. So Black Eyed Peas fans or 50 Cent fans walking out after they've seen their artist means shit, other that they have no taste and don't deserve better anyway.
