. Well, unfortunately for you, you don't understand depression and someone who needs treatment and therapy for it. Some people go through a traumatic event in their life, or abuse, or emotional problems or whatever, and they need help. Is there something wrong with that? . You stated that you don't like people or trust them, so that suggests to me that you suffer from paranoia. I guess if you don't surround yourself with other people, you are devoid of any stressful (potentially) situations, thus you are never stressed-out. I guess you live a great life without any problems or stress! . Why do you think people are out to get you?

. True! Chris was an adult, therefore, he ultimately chose to take that extra dose of Ativan.

My doctor prescribed me anti-anxiety meds last year because I was having a panic attack and my blood pressure was all over the place and I had to be taken to the ER. It was a very tramatic experience that I hope I never have to go through again. I've recently been going through a lot of stress, and one day it got the best of me. When your heart starts racing like a horse and you feel like you are going to die, you need something to help manage it. I'm doing much better now and haven't taken a Xanax in over a year and I'm not dependent on it either. I'm not ashamed to say that I needed help for my stress. I try and stay away from stressful situations and I practice Yoga and meditation now, which helps me greatly. There is no shame in anyone needing meds to help them with the stresses of life. There certainly is not. And many people only need these meds for a temporary amount of time. The shame and stigma still attached by society to mental health disorders is what stops people from getting the help they need. Very true. In 2017, there is prejudice against pshychiatrists, therapists and medications. It´s a shame

. Thank you for saying that. None of us are perfect and we certainly don't live in a perfect world and some people go through hard times or suffer with mental-illness due to external factors that are beyond their control. There are people who go through tough times and never recover. . My Mother who passed in 2014 was diagnosed with Bi-Polar. She had a tough childhood (was abandonded by her parents), and was a single-mother who raised me and my sister on her own. She went through a lot of tough times, and there wasn't much help for someone like her when she was a young adult. She lost her husband (my step dad) in 1999, and she was never the same again. She needed anti-depressants and therapy. I'm glad she sought-out help instead of resorting to worse things. Anywho, just my short-story.

I, too, had a mother with mental health problems. To add insult to injury, she developed early-onset Alzheimer's. No one else on either side of the family ever had that as far as I know. Why some people develop these issues and others don't is still a mystery. It isn't always hereditary. My condolences on your Mom's passing. I just talked to a co-worker today who came back from his Mom's funeral. It was quick and sudden like my Mom's departure almost 10 years ago. We really don't know how long any one of us has...and need to treasure those moments with those we care about as much as possible. . Thank you for your condolences. I am so sorry for your loss as well. I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to see your Mother struggling with Alzheimer's. Losing a parent is by far, one of the toughest times a person will ever go through. My Mother was still very mentally-sharp. She was only 73 when she passed. She suffered from COPD, then had a bad fall and broke her hip and needed emergency surgery in January, 2014, and passed away on the 28th. I miss her so much, every day.

I'm glad she was still mentally sharp and that you got as much time as you did with her. My Mom passed right before she turned 65. I know how hard it is. That was a tough year... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

no i just don't like people, they are pretty much all the same, play a lot of games, lots of drama, try to get into your head by doing things like calling you paranoid, ya know. I'd rather hang out with my cats. I really think a lot of it is dissapointment that comes from me being a native american, our values and priorities weren't like this and I think the western world's version of things are sick and deviant. I learned what the great writer vine deloria meant when he said "just forget about all these things that they present as problems to you, realize the schizophrenia is in the white man and not you". A major problem is, Indians are pretty much as bad or worse as everyone else in these later generations, it's all very dissapointing and leaves me with a great feeling of loss and dissapointment but I can't and won't try to change it. Life on it's own it beautiful like i said.

I have loved Soundgarden and Chris Cornell for years. I cannot believe he is gone and in the manner he left us. He was so talented and his voice! My heart breaks. Just can't believe it. 💔 "A strong spirit transcends rules." - Prince

. I apologize for my comments, it was a bit harsh. It just seems unfair for you to blame Chris Cornell's wife for his suicide death, when we really don't know what happened, that's all. . I think there are still some good people in this world, but I will also say that there are some people that I do not like either. . I think that is awesome that you are Native-American. I also have native american in my family, but I don't know much about the history, but that's another story, LOL . Again, I meant no harm and I'm sorry if I offended you. We've had conversations in the past and I've always respected your opinions. Peace!

Sorry but we live in a culture now that writes prescriptions for anything. Everything has a PILL for it, and for the life of me I cannot understand HOW intelligent people like a doctor knows someone has had ADDICTIONS and SUBSTANCE abuse issues and dealing with Depression, writes prescriptions to him and no one is monitoring him and what he is taking, when a doctor writes it he knows how many he gave you if he gives you 90 pills and says take one a day and you come back in a week for another prescription what the FUCK is going on in this god damn country with writing this shit out just for $$$$ and if someone dies fuck it, as long as we save more than we kill who cares. That is the american way. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

. - I asked myself the same question, but on the other hand, if a person gets 90 pills and wants to take 2 or 3 in a day, the doctor doesnt even know. I wonder if he had any doctor, btw. Lots of people just want a prescription.
