Never one to hold his tongue, Elton John is back to speaking his mind.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the singer recalled his years-old feud with Madonna, which was sparked when John targeted the singer for lip-syncing in concert. Now, the music legend is calling out Janet Jackson on the same topic .

"I say what I feel. I probably went too far with Madonna, and I got very personal and I wrote her – she was very gracious," John, 68, told the magazine, but that wasn't all he had to say on the matter of lip-syncing.

"You know, f---ing music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, 'This is the greatest show – four and a half stars'," he continued. "If it's f---ing lip-synced! Hello! That's not a show! I'd rather go and see a drag queen. F--- off."

Jackson, 49, is currently on her Unbreakable World Tour, after releasing her 11th studio album. Her rep didn’t comment on John’s lip-syncing claim.

but why did you go to her concert? Everyone knows that Britney lip-syncs throughout her entire show It's no big secret,lol

but anyway.....these days,Elton John is a grouchy,bitchy,drama queen who talks shit about alot of people I'm a huge fan of his 70s music,but it's sad to see him turn into an old,bitter man.If he's so against artists who lip-sync,simply don't go to their shows.No need to bitch about it.

Britney lip syncs, but I don't think Janet does. Most of Janet's concerts are live.

But someone like Britney is not just a singer. She never said she was the greatest singer. Her job is not to just sing but be an all around entertainer, as far as also dancing and being part of a spectacle. So going to see her show is much more than you would get listening to the cd.

Elton John's voice has declined a lot. Maybe he's insecure about his own singing and that's why he does this. It's interesting that you never hear technically perfect singers like Adele or Kelly Clarkson getting bent out of shape about people lip synching? Why is that?

Really? Why?

C'mon Elton. Janet has never been known or revered for her live singing. When people go to a Janet concert, they go for the performance (i.e., dancing, shock value and flash), not for the singing.

Seems that sometimes folks do this just to get their name in the news.

I agree that there's ageism out there. The industry is barely a shell of what it used to be. And even before her latest offering of "Unbreakable", her legacy was already intact. However, I don't think these are reasons to quit. I don't believe anyone should retire from something until they believe they are done in their own hearts as artist. If there's nothing left to say, no inspiration to convey anything. or merely don't want to entertain anymore, then fine. But to allow the poor conditions of an industry, or to accept the limitations that's put on "artist of a certain age" LOL, is allowing a defeated attitude to win (in my eyes).

Go out on your own terms, I guess is what I'm trying to say. Don't let an industry or anyone else push or force you out. She may very well be setting herself up for that down the road being that she's an independent artist now. So happy to see her leave the majors.

Elton didn't seem to have a problem with Janet when they recorded this duet.



Anyway, I'm seeing Janet live in a month from now and I'm really excited!

I just want to know why her weave starts 3 inches from her hairline!? Ole girl is trying to preserve her edges I think but it's not a good look. Elton's hair hat looks more natural.

I was gonna say, Elton isn't happy if he doesn't have something to bitch about publically once in a while. Like the feud he had with Madonna a while back.

Hm.. you can pretty much hear that Madonna sings the majority live. With Janet you can't. Either she's a perfect live singer or most of it is lipsynced.

The Majority of the paying customer wants to re-live the dancing videos..

Mike and Janet could've saved he wear and tear on their bodies, and just did some moves in form fo a band, and allowed some dancers to to do most of the moves...

Dancers are still paid, and everyone lasts longer..

id rather hear a lip sync show of hers than that non-voice she has...
