Gwen Stefani is back...

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

The No Doubt front woman took to her social media to announce plans for her upcoming single, Make Me Like You, which be released on Friday.

Gwen wrote: 'This is big. I'm going to be in the first live music video on a #Grammys commercial break with @Target! #MoreMusic.'

Directed by Sophie Muller, the live music video will feature costume changes and multiple sets during the four-minute commercial break.

The singer's third studio LP comes 10 years after her last album, The Sweet Escape, was released in 2006.

There will also be a deluxe version available at Target with four extra tracks: Rocket Ship, Getting Warmer, Obsessed and Splash, which she denotes on her Instagram picture with red and black hearts.

I like her, I lke the cover...but the last two singles have done NOTHING for me. Especially from a woman who basically made a pop classic with LAMB. I want to hear it but scared I will be unsatisfied like the last album and these two singles.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

This is so weird. I just googled AFI yesterday to see what was up with them snf couldn't really find anything. This is pretty surprising but I'm curious to see what they do together.

The album is called This is What the Truth Feels Like and is being released on March 18.

She released another song from it called Make Me Like You. I don't think too much of it.

It's the members of No Doubt with Davey, but it's going to be a new band with a new name doing new songs. They won't be performing No Doubt songs.

Totally agree 100% between the last No Doubt and these singles boring to awful.

The last two Gwen singles were awful, but the last No Doubt album Push and Shove had some good stuff on it. Just because it was a commercial flop doesn't make it bad.

When did i say it was bad because it did not sell?? 99% of the music I buy and praise rarely even charts, my review and opinion on it was that it was just not that good a record overall, and Gwens stuff has been lousy overall.

Well, the last No Doubt album was very positively reviewed. It just seems to me people often conclude the reason something by a major pop artist is a flop is because it's not good which is not always the case.

The last No Doubt album was a continuation of their earlier sound with a few modern updates so I"m not sure why you wouldn't like it if you liked their earlier records.

Gwen's first album is a great pop record, and even the second has a few good songs although not as good as the first. I can see why some music snobs may not like them if they only like "real" music which usually means guitar based stuff. But they are good pop/dance albums. So not everything she does is lousy. But some people believe everything electronic without guitars and traditional instruments is by definition bad or not real music.

I do agree her last two singles were pretty awful, but she just took demos and didn't bother to write her own stuff.

I thought the first single from this album I Used to Love You was quite good which was a very personal song she wrote about Gavin. The new single Make Me Like You however I don't care for.

ONE i like all forms of music it does not matter to me if they are playing or not, a good song is a good song, I haven't overall liked a No Doubt album ( more than half of the songs meaning) since Return of Saturn, I had no problem with either of her solo records, was not crazy about the last No Doubt album considering all the work they put in etc..And so far what I have heard here I have not been crazy about its very typical production. Never said EVERYTHING she does is lousy but have not been feeling alot of the singles and though I thought the last solo album was OK there was alot of filler. Never said anything about Guitar music being real, there is shitty guitar music and shitty dance and shitty pop and shitty country and shitty classical etc...

and this little Blind Item from

November 28, 2015

It only took a couple of days apart from each other to see this A list singer/part-time reality star cheating on his singer girlfriend. He told a woman that the relationship was all for show while he was hitting on her this week.

Really? I think I prefer the direction of her new singles compared to what she was teasing with a year prior:

"Baby Don't Lie" October 2014

"Spark The Fire" December 2014

----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----

"Used To Love You" October 2015

"Make Me Like You" February 2016

Love Gwen and still disappointed the No Doubt reunion and CD were such a flop

However so glad she's having such a huge solo comeback with two excellent songs! But the new video is meh and she looks a little off through out it

I have noticed little to no traction for this project (much like the last No Doubt record).

Is it because she's 46? The org has written essays about this.

Here is an interview with her in the New York Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/13/arts/music/gwen-stefani-truth-feels-like.html?ref=arts&_r=0

She is trying to promote herself as a more adult mature type of artist ,but from what I've heard from the album even though the first two songs are catchy, they don't seem that deep or "adult" to me. Something doesn't quite compute here!

I've been a No Doubt fan for many years and I really like their music, but Gwen on her own doesn't interest me in the least. Her previous solo albums have been nothing but sugary crap. She seems to lose her edge when she's solo, but with ND, she had grit. I won't be buying her latest.

I like No Doubt better, but I wouldn't call them gritty. They aren't some truly alternative edgy grunge type of band. They are a pretty pop sugary band albeit with a few more guitars.

So I don't think her solo career is that great a change really. Her first solo album had some great tracks, but it's been downhill since.

I didn't say ND had grit, I said she had grit with the band. On her own, she's fluff and doesn't have much depth to her music. She seems more concerned with how she looks. neutral

Gwen Stefani & Diplo featuring No Doubt - Push & Shove was an inauthentic effort and its reception echoed its sentiment. It made no sense, sounded sloppy and forced. I felt sorry for them as I believe they had such great potential to inspire actual hometown bands in the internet age. However personally GS has been on an odd path since becoming a CBS pawn and solo act. She reminds me of like Lionel Richie.
