Of course they are going to say they are doing great . . for consumer confidence and investor relations . . but you don't have to read too far between the lines to see Jay Z is basically suing because he bought into a bad investment. It's not like he's too busy counting his money and then began nitpicking over a glaring misnomer in the original pitch. If he was doing that good with the company he wouldn't be going back over the investment terms, he would be looking forward to plans to further the prosperity of the business

I don't subscribe to the streaming section of Tidal, but I do use their Tidal Store. Quality product (price is still high though), nice GUI and great customer service.

It's either the reason you have OR he's suiing because he's doing damage control because there are lawsuits flying around Tidal for ripping off artists because of this reason and apparently they are streaming music they aren't licensed for.

Tidal is GREAT. Love it. The sound is much clearer and it is like a niche store for people, who want to listen to album from start to finish. I had Spotify from 2008-2015 (I was one of the first ones to have it, when it was in its BETA phase) and I don't regret changing to Tidal. I've used other music streaming sites, but have not been impressed. It is like going to a wallmart to buy music, whilst Tidal offers a more personal connection to music imo. I used to have WIMP before it became Tidal and loved the quality, but the selection of music was not the best, but with TIDAL it got better. Sadly, Tidal hasn't had it easy, considering Apple Music and other companies, have bought articles online to sabotage it...

This is a different topic, not related to Tidal being sued for not paying royalties, but it's Tidal related:

http://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2016/04/01/exclusive-jay-z-announcing-tidal-shutdown-google-billion-acquisition-april-1-tomfoolery/

So according to this, Tidal has been sold to Google and subscribers to Tidal will be moved to Google Play.

My question is, will Prince allow his Tidal catalogue to be moved to Google Play? What do you guys think?

It appears Tidal is shutting down, Jay Z is about to beome a billionaire and Google will absorb Tidal.

I wonder if Prince will be down with that?

Or was that just another April Fools PR stunt?

^ How is Jay Z about to be a billionare when its clear the reason why it is being sold is becuse it was a crappy investment? It sounds like Jay Z put a lot of money into something that went no where. I knew the moment he announced this subscription it was a load of crap. Everything has been wrong about the way it has been marketed from the jump.
