If U saw Bob, it must have been a great year. I saw him last year. He's awesome. Tempest is a great album and live he's better than he has been in a long time.

That's tough. Kraftwerk would have been my favorite if I had a better seat and could have seen all the 3D effects properly. Lucius was my favorite gig of 2013 and it might be again for 2014. They sound so amazing live. Love them.

Mint Condition

Smokey Robinson w/ Patti Austin

Barry Gibb

Maxwell

Fleetwood Mac

Hmm...enjoyed the most? It's probably a three-way tie for different reasons. Maxwell was so entertaining not only for his singing but his interaction with audience had the crowd in stitches. Barry Gibb fulfilled a dream of seeing acts that I liked since childhood, and even though it wasn't the Bee Gees, his brothers were there in spirit. My friend and I were super pumped when he performed "Grease," that was so unexpected. Finally, Fleetwood Mac because Christine McVie rejoined them after 16 years, so hearing the songs she led as well as the other hits just felt complete. That was my second time seeing them and if anyone was considering seeing them, please do so this year.

I've only seen Susan Tedeschi once- at Experience Hendrix- and she blew me away!
She came out and said a few words, and I thought, "What the heck is she going to do?! confused "
She did "If 6 was 9" and I was like omg when she was done.

ANd with Gary Clark, Jr. opening, I'm sure that was a good show! biggrin

I saw five concerts this year. That's a lot for me. Before this, the last show I saw was British Sea Power in 2008, and Arcade Fire in 2004 or 2005 before that. I'm lame as shit.

This year:

St. Vincent (March)
The Antlers (June)
Johnny Marr (November)
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart (November...technically they were opening for the New Pornographers, but I hate them so fuck them)
Bob Dylan (November)

The best? A tie between St. Vincent and the Antlers.
