I am not much familiar with Enya's work, though I liked everything I've heard so far, but Björk is kind of a no contest artist anyway: like Kate Bush or Akiko Yano she's a one of a kind artist with a one of a kind musical world and comparing her with others make little sense IMHO. Maybe Enya is too, as I said IDK enough of her, but I'm not sure whether her world collides with Björk enough for a comparison.

Wut is all yall's problem? Enya actually got a top 10 U.S. hit. Let me know when Björk gets an album as big as A Day Without Rain. Plus she came from Ireland not some weird country that uses some weird d with a slash in it's alphabet. So wut if Björk can play a lot of instruments and can write her own lyrics? Enya won 4 grammys. Plus Avant-Garde music is shit and Yoko Ono already taught us that. If Björk does a song wit Puff Daddy, call me.

Wut is all yall's problem? Who has a problem? I don't think anyone here has one. Enya actually got a top 10 U.S. hit. So now success = quality? Well even if that was the case Björk had her fare share of hits in the 90's anyway but that's not really what I'd retain if I had to compliment her talents. Let me know when Björk gets an album as big as A Day Without Rain. Define "big". I mean she just recorded 3 of the most visionary and groundbreaking albums of the 90's if not of the whole history of modern pop music but hell, what could this mean? Plus she came from Ireland not some weird country that uses some weird d with a slash in it's alphabet. That one's called racism, plain and simple. So wut if Björk can play a lot of instruments and can write her own lyrics? Yes sure being a musician isn't important for musicians and being a lyricist isn't important for songwriters, that's quite obvious what was I thinking? Enya won 4 grammys. So now grammies = quality? Plus Avant-Garde music is shit Just because you are uneducated doesn't mean u need to spit on sophisticated things + it's never too late to elevate yourself. and Yoko Ono already taught us that. Yoko Ono hardly qualifies as a significant or typical avant-garde musician. If Björk does a song wit Puff Daddy, call me. falloff I'll call u when she does a duet with Kylie Minogue or Britney Spears if that can make your day, but in the meantime if it can make u feel better she made a few songs with Timbaland back in 2007, though I wouldn't retain that either when it comes to compliment her work.

I don't mean to disrespect or anything but writing so much nonsense in such a little paragraph is... WOW!

Why don't u just say that Enya is more ur thing or that u don't like Björk's music? U know no one would challenge that, u're entitled to have your tastes. But trying to make a point out of nothing like that is quite absurd.

It may be my favorite Björk album too, alongside Debut and Post though, I really couldn't chose between the 3 of 'em.

Have u seen the Vespertine Live At The Royal Opera House DVD? Brilliant show and great bonus innerviews about the making of it all!

Bjorks Medula album is one of my favorites from any artist, so I have to side with Bjork, but whenever I get into weird new-agie types of moods about once every 3-4 years I will put on something by Enya and I'll be satisfied with it. smile

Change it one more time..

Enya must have made millions... i made millions of that fucking Only Time shit. I can do without ever hearing that fucking song til the end of time.

It was in promos for Fraiser, friends, ER, car commercials, the radio, Movies, Movie trailers. Same with May It Be...

I also had a teacher who played her album almost everyday for 5 months.

At least she got sampled by Lil B.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I like Enya's voice more, May It Be is the only song that I've listened to in my whole life that can give me chills throughought the whole song, Bjork's talent, though, is more appreciated and respected (Given that her albums are masterpieces in art rock music)

We should be comparing Bjork to some other genius, and not Enya.
