A Band Called Death Anybody seen a documentary on netflix called "A band called Death"? It's about 3 brothers that put together a metal/protopunk band and the thing is they're black and from Detroit and their album is said to be 2 years before the ramones who are mostly credited for the punk sound. The album was made in 74 but didn't get released for 30 years.I don't really listen to punk but i checked out the album and the album is bangin!Even if you don't like punk or metal you should check this out.The documentary has got interviews with Questlove,Kid Rock and some others. There's a thread already open about them here, and here's some older threads: 1, You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |
