The Moonwalk Tapes

Michael Jackson talking to the first editor of Moonwalk about his father, 1984-1985

MJ: “I mean, the natural instinct of show business was inside of us anyway, ’cause it was something that God gives you. But [Joe] taught us how to cultivate it. He’d sit there everyday, it was like after school we’d come home and we’d rehearse and he’d sit in a chair like this, usually with a belt in his hand or a switch.”

SD: “Jeeze, wow.”

MJ: “He would. He’d be sitting there and we’d do our performance and if you messed up you’d get hit. The person who got it all the time was Marlon. Ugh. See, I got it outside from show business, I was beat more than any of the children.”

SD: “You mean for pranks and stuff?”

MJ: “No… just… probably just for being… I used to throw back at him, hit back at him. When he’d get me… I would get beat bad. To the point where I would say abused… Please don’t write that.”

Try imaginng MJ without Quincy Jones. How different things would of been.

Would he found another producer that replicated the sound of OTW Thriller and Bad?

Maybe hooks up with Nile Rogers and produces album sounding Chic like.

I'm thinking a strong carryover of Gamble and Huff Philly Soul... Even Triumph (which came after Off The Wall) had some vibes of Philly Soul beneath the funk, and Free (the Bad outtake) has a strong resemblance to Even Though You're Gone.

See, i was thinking about something similar to this the other day. But thinking more in terms of MJ's comeback album he was working on. What if things had panned out like this:

2009 MJ does the 10 This Is It shows, and have an HBO special air one of the shows worldwide.

2010 MJ teams up with Nile Rodgers and Daft Punk to create a masterpiece.

2011 Album is released. MJ is honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys, Performs, and takes home some grammys for the album.

2011 MJ is honored at the MTV Video Music Awards, makes an apperance/makes speech.

2011 an interview/documentary done tastefully, discussing Michaels music with MJ in detail, his past albums and his current work, debunking all of the myths and lies, discussing being a father, etc..

2012 Bad 25

2013 Michael has had an extremely successful past few years and there is no doubt that the king is back, and he is now ready to begin working on film.

I hate thinking about it really.. But there is just so much that could have happened.

"Days In Gloucestershire" just leaked in full. It's very obviously a demo, but it's beautiful. Written by Michael and Brad Buxer.

Add the classical album he started work on to it. I was surprised there was This Is It to begin with when there were years of rumours about songwriting up until then. I would have been cool with one more album and retirement too, followed by anniversary albums of course.

I really think working with nile some more would have worked wonders for him, his production in the 70's and 80's rivalled quincy jones if you ask me

Michael Jackson

Self-Professed Long Lost Son

Going Public with DNA Evidence ... TOMORROW

3/5/2014 4:20 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

030514_b_howard_launch
Michael Jackson has a 31-year-old son -- at least that's what the man claims -- and we're told he plans to go public tomorrow with what he believes is ironclad DNA evidence.

His name is Brandon Howard -- the son of singer Miki Howard, whom Joe Jackson represented back in the 1980s.

Sources close to Brandon tell us, Miki and MJ met in 1982 and Brandon was born soon after.

Brandon grew up in Cleveland and now lives in Miami. He's now a singer who goes by the name B Howard. And he's had some success. We're told he's part of a new Akon song.

As for why B Howard is so sure he's MJ's son ... he claims he somehow acquired DNA from an old orthodontic device worn by Michael ... it's unclear how he got hold of it, but he says the test results show a match.

The results will be unveiled Thursday on FilmOn.com.

Oh yeah ... once the DNA results are revealed, he plans to go after the MJ Estate for money.

Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman tells TMZ, "We've never even heard from him," adding, "Any deadline for claiming to be Michael's child has long since passed."

Check out the music video B Howard released in 2011 -- in which he blatantly bites MJ's dance moves and vocals.

Call me crazy but, as a screenwriter, I've always thought about writing a piece about post-2009 MJ, imagining a life he never had after his death, and make it look like he never passed away, did the This Is It shows and continued to claim his title once again. I've been always intrested in films that manipulate people AFTER their death... Its a clever way to pursue your vision and take on something, for example, I'm planning to do that MJ script just to expose something I always was curious about as a fan, and that's the never-ending story and controversy about his appearances, child molestation and stuff.. His life was def a big story, and it will be so hard to tell on-screen.

Though he was cuter during OTW, Thriller and even Bad in those last pics, I love the kinky getup and guyliner in that Herb Ritts photoshoot and would be lying if I said I didn't want to give him a rope burn

I couldn't attend "One" during this visit to Vegas. But hopefully I'll get the chance next time I'm in town. Meanwhile, here are a few pics around Mandalay Bay. I've got more if people are interested in seeing them...

lol Nice progressive jackpot going there!
