1970s Black music vs 1980s Black music

R&b and hip hop funk-urban music-same shit-music made by black artist

I take 1980s Black music over 1970s Black music

Mainly because versatility to my liking. The use of synthesizers, early hip hop,the big beat,electro,electro-funk.house music, etc. The music sounds fresh, dope and has very youthful sound.

More soulful in the 79s, but definitely more creative and exciting in the 80s

Not fair.Take a good 70s tune and compare to a sappy ballard. You could of picked Joanna which is worse.

I can't decide. Seventies soul and R&B is what I listen to more. But with the entirety of hip-hop in the 80s plus everything else, it's hard to say I could take one leave the other behind.

I'm glad you didn't ask me to pick between the 60s, 70s and 80s.... that would have added a whole other dimension. Coltrane, Monk, Miles, Ayler, Ornette, Motown, Stax, Sly, JB, Ike & Tina, Aretha...

Love both decades in R&B/Soul music. But since I was a teeny-bopper in the 80's, that music influenced me more. The only thing I didn't like about the 80's is that's when people began to edge out using real musicians in the studio in favor of fancy technology. But, there were sooooooo many INCREDIBLE singers around in the 80s, all of the sythesizers really weren't that big of a deal. Unlike today, when you have mediocre singers katerwailing off-key over computerized beats, it just doesn't work for me.

I told moderator to shut it down, because i felt the thread was gonna turn racist or mean.Im paranoid today.Maybe I should more political terms like R&B or soul music.

My mood has changed now,the more drama the better.
