Capitol Records' ONLY platinum-selling single in history! Amazing! Who'd have thought two badass sistas with a bass and a guitar could pull it off?! smile

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

classic jam from the disco era.I remember hearing it for the first time in the summer of '78.By the fall of that year,it was Number One on the pop charts.I miss that era!! The late 70s was such a fun time.

It was. You can put this record on now at any club and people will hit the dance floor. During this

time i would listen to the radio in the mornings getting dressed for school and i would never have

to change the radio station or turn it off.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

A classic! headbang music I enjoyed seeing their clips and the interview with Janice-Marie on the Unsung disco episode.

I loved their music, their style, everything smile

These ladies wore fly outfits with feathers, & braids with beads long before Alicia Keys did it. cool

It would be cool to see them reunite and go on a tour with a reunited Brothers Johnson lol All four of them are talented guitarists.

The appearance of Janice Marie Johnson on Unsung has me wondering about what happened with Hazel Payne (guitar). We might have to wait for next season to find out.

Several years ago,the two of them reunited for a PBS TV special featuring a bunch of disco-era artists and bands.I was hoping that it would lead to a full-fledged reunion....

I may be wrong, but I remember hearing years ago and not sure how I heard it, maybe from some older family members that there was some bitterness between the ladies of taste of honey-not sure why and that led to a breakup

based on other female duos

(i.e. Zhane & Floetry)

and why they never lasted

I can assume lover's quarrels

hazel died a whil back.

It must must be someone with the same name, because Hazel was in this play about 2 or 3 years ago.

This video is from the summer of 2012 in China. She's at 3:48.

Peter Andre sampled "Boogie Oogie Oogie" in the 90s

I love the detail on the disco unsung episode that Janice Marie Johnson was for a while the driver for the SOS Band while the group wasn't aware that a tasty honey was driving them lol clueless . She got tipped well by the group though cool

Perry Kibble, the group's original keyboardist indeed passed away in 1999.
