Post Your Recent iTunes Top 25

whenever i look at my itunes 25 for the last couple of months i'm always surprised

about some of the songs that i've obviously listened to a lot without really noticing smile

let's see your top 25 too and tell us what your surprises were biggrin

01. Prince - RnR Affair [37] omfg

02. Frank Ocean - Pilot Jones [31]

03. Frank Ocean - Swim Good [27]

04. Prince - Lust U Always [26]

05. Smashing Pumpkins - Blissed and Gone [23]

25. Anais Mitchell - Young Man In America [5]

so, i guess the main surprise was that i've listened to prince's rnr affair almost 40 times

in the last few days. wow.

but i was also surprised by the absence of some song that i play to death recently until

i realised they are weird format files that i play in my vcl mediaplayer. i'm gonna have

to convert everything to one format soon, just for easy use.

My iTunes crashed recently which erased all of my previous play counts. This is my top 25 since then:

1. Charli XCX - Heartbeats and Earthquakes - The Mixtape [9]

2. The Good Natured - Your Body Is a Machine [6]

3. The Good Natured - Skeleton [6]

4. The Good Natured - Wolves [6]

5. The Good Natured - Be My Animal [6]

6. The Good Natured - Prisoner [6]

7. The Good Natured - The Hourglass [6]

8. The Good Natured - Skeleton (NFIFTYFIVE Remix) [6]

9. Annie - Greatest Hit (Edit) [5]

10. Annie - I Will Get On [5]

11. Annie - I Will Always Remember You (with Fredrik Saroea) [5]

12. Annie - Chewing Gum (Radio Edit) [5]

13. Annie - Kiss Me [5]

14. Annie - Me Plus One [5]

15. Annie - Heartbeat [5]

16. Annie - Happy Without You [5]

17. Annie - Always Too Late [5]

18. Annie - The Wedding (Original Version) [5]

19. Annie - Crush (Richard X Original Version) [5]

20. Annie - Loco [5]

21. Annie - I Know Ur Girlfriend Hates Me [5]

22. Annie - Danny, Danny [5]

23. Annie - Follow Me (with Ercola) (Radio Edit) [5]

24. Annie - Two of Hearts [5]

25. Annie - Anthonio [5]

--

26. Annie - Ferret Summer [5]

27. Annie - My Love Is Better [5]

28. Annie - Songs Remind Me of You [5]

29. Annie - Alien Summer (with Toxic Avenger) [5]

30. Annie - Crazy for You (with Designer Drugs) [5]

I always listen to albums in their entirety. I never use shuffle or play individual tracks from albums by themselves. So the above tracks are the albums:

Charli XCX - Heartbeats and Earthquakes - The Mixtape

The Good Natured - Skeleton EP

Annie - Anniethology (homemade comp)

Saint Etienne's Words and Music by Saint Etienne album also has a play count of five, but since the top 25 smart playlist lists the songs in order by artist, those tracks (as well as the last five from Anniethology) didn't make the top 25.

The Charli XCX mixtape being the most played was a bit of a surprise. I went to her gig recently and must have really liked it to play her mixtape more than anything else.

if there are specific songs by different artists that I do like hearing more often, I'll make a compilation album of them and listen to the songs that way--like these:

It's a doctored list, actually. I took off most the Prince plays, as they are not representive to my normal shuffling.

I also took out the plays of a pianist whom's work I love so madly, it taints the list. (grin)

What is left are the plays not from any doctored playlist.

Don't you have me on Last.fm?
