Albums With No Weak Songs

So even on classic albums people will still maybe be eh on a song or 2.

I like the entire record for many albums I have, and would be too long to list. I think CDs killed the album, because before then, albums were short. CDs also have tiny artwork, not much better than printing on a cassette.

My Aim is True is the least Elvis Costello-ish of his albums, and therefore the most enjoyable lol I could almost include his second & third albums, but not quite.

Behavior is a lot more slow & full of Neil's best writing. To me Being Boring is just as good as U2's One... it's just sad it wasn't as big as that song.

Don't get me wrong Very still rock's the shit cool

Gene Clark - No Other

Blood on the Tracks, Highway 61 Revisted

Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels on a Gravel Road

Al Green - Greatest Hits (listing a compilation may be a cheat, but i think this album plays flawlessly)

Can - Future Days

Innervisions

I can't really name much more than that, I think. There are records I considered adding (Kinks' Village Green, a couple of Eno's pop records, Dylan's John Wesley Harding, Love's Forever Changes, Neil Young's Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, Pet Shop Boy's Very), but all of them have a track or two that I consider somewhat average, though I almost never skip them when listening.

There are also a few records that are probably flawless in their execution that I just don't like listening to these days because my tastes have shifted. Van Morrison's Astral Weeks is considered a masterpiece by lots of folks, and I can't really point to any weak points on it, but I never feel like listening to it anymore. Same thing with Plastic Ono Band (though you could probably say Well Well Well is average or even below average so maybe it's not even a contender).

That record can drive me out a room in two minutes. I've owned it for years, and wouldn't sell it because I consider it a bit of an endurance test (like metal machine music or an early cabaret voltaire record). I admire her, I get where she's coming from (I think) but I never feel like listening to it. I expect it would be good for clearing out unwanted guests.

There's more than this for me, but if I listed every album I like start-to-finish, this list would be too long and boring to read...

Prince - Chaos and Disorder / One Nite Alone... / N.E.W.S.
Michael Jackson - Bad
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On [not my favorite album of his, but the others have at least one song I don't like]
Amy Winehouse - Back To Black
Björk - Post
Caetano Veloso - Transa [also not my favorite of his, but the others have at least one weak spot]
Bruce Springsteen - Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ / Born To Run / Nebraska
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band

Yoko Ono - Between My Head and The Sky / Approximately Infinite Universe

The Beatles - Let It Be... Naked
The Doors
Nirvana - Nevermind
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Ryan Adams - Ashes & Fire

Edit:

Sly and The Family Stone - Stand!
