When it comes to the Jackson family, the last several days have played out very much like a soap opera.

Although, let's face it, this ongoing saga is probably a heck of lot more interesting (and dare we say entertaining) than anything you would see on daytime TV.

That being said, it can sometimes be a wee bit confusing to follow.

Fortunately, that's where we come in with a rundown of everything we know so far.

Katherine Jackson seeks coguardianship of Jackson kids

July 17: Michael Jackson's siblings Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie, Tito and Randy fire off an angry letter to the two men overseeing the late King of Pop's estate, accusing them of fraud when it comes to their brother's will, saying, "Without question, it's Fake, Flawed and Fraudulent." An estate spokesman dismisses such a claim, telling E! News: "Any doubts about the validity of Michael's will and his selection of executors were thoroughly and completely debunked two years ago when a challenge was rejected by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals and, finally, the California Supreme Court."

July 21: Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, is reported missing by the 82-year-old matriarch's nephew, Trent, saying she has not been heard from in a week. The next day, however, Katherine's son Jermaine Jackson as well as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirm that Katherine is resting with family members in Arizona.

July 23: Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies pay a visit to Katherine's Calabasas home after a physical altercation takes place there. Photos from the scene show Michael's siblings Janet and Jermaine present, while a source confirms to E! News that the third member involved was Randy. Katherine's attorney says, "Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren [Prince, Paris and Blanket]." Katherine has been the kids' legal guardian since Michael's death in 2009.

Tito's daughter calls feud "a load of crap"

July 24: Tito backs down from family plot targeting Michael's will. "I completely retract my signature from the July 17th letter sent to the Executors of my brother Michael's estate and repudiate all the claims made against them," he said in statement. "I don't want any part of that letter whatsoever." Meanwhile, T.J. Jackson, Tito's son, plans to seek temporary guardianship of Michael's three children.

July 24: Michael Jackson's brother Marlon breaks down and walks off during an interview while talking about his mother Katherine's whereabouts. "We've been told our mother is safe," Marlon tells The Insider while sitting alongside brothers Tito and Jackie. "She's doing well. But we have not spoken with her. We have not talked with her and I don't know where my mother is." He proceeds to storm off tearfully.

July 25: Following an emergency court hearing in Los Angeles, Katherine temporarily loses custody of her three grandchildren. Michael's nephew T.J. is appointed temporary guardian after Paris and Prince consent to being in T.J.'s custody in the absence of their grandmother.

July 25: Katherine speaks out in a taped statement to ABC News. "I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine and I am here with my children, and my children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. July 27: Attorney for Katherine tells E! News he plans to file paperwork on her behalf next week seeking a joint guardianship for Michael Jackson's three children between Katherine and T.J. Jackson. Meanwhile, Dr. Conrad Murray, the cardiologist serving a four-year sentence after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael, invites Katherine to visit him in jail. According to CNN, Murray's lawyers extended the invite on his behalf saying Murrya wanted to help bring peace to Katherine by answering "any questions she might have."

I agree with EVERYTHING that you said. I just want to say that I put MOST of the blame on Janet. From looking at the surveillance video and how she tried to bully/ambush Paris, from her response to Prince when he asked to speak to his grandmother. Janet is up to her ears in this mess and I hold her as much responsible as I do Randy, Jermaine and Rebbie. She will get no pass from me just because she is Janet Jacksons. Her actions, the surveillance tape with her bullying Paris, her response to Prince etc., speaks for itself. Her name needs to be included in every post when we talk about what this family has attempted to do to their own mother and Michael's children.

I am wondering what Janet's boyfriend is thinking about this mess. They were joking about this on the radio this morning saying that they bet that Wissam is having second thoughts about Janet and not wanting to get involved with her family. I have been thinking the same thing. I wonder if he supports what she did to Paris and Prince by denying them access to their own grandParent and bullyig them.

BTW, this is a great book and is the most definitive, objective and informative book that has been written about this family. I bought it the day that it came out. I need to find my copy so that I can read it again.

Janet was foolish to get involved in this scheme.She should have stayed in Italy with her boyfriend.She has her own money anyway! I don't know why she allowed herself to be suckered into this ridiculous scheme,which now makes her look bad.Her hands are just as dirty as theirs.

Janet showed her true colors after Michael passed when she did all those interviews throwing him under bus and making false assumptions. From then on I realize that she isnt all innocent like the media and her fans like to portray and she is shady.

The reason why Janet got involved because she do not what her greedy brothers to go after her money like they went after Michaels all these years. She rather them steal her brothers money For Janet, this is not about money, this is about sustaining the money she already has from her family cause trust me she dont give a damn about the kids or the family. I totally agree with this and I'd also like to note in addition to being too trusting it further confirms what a pushover Katherine is as well. I never met the lady but from what I can see she seems like a nice, sincere woman yet has no backbone whatsoever. We've all heard the tales of Joe's supposed dominance in the house growing up. Whether or not you believe the stories (I personally don't accept them 100%) if they are indeed true, she allowed it to go on. Why is that never brought up here? Wouldn't she share some of the blame for not getting her kids the fuck out? Moreover, she also stayed with him after he cheated on her and made a baby with somebody else. And this is back in the 70s when she was much younger so it's not just age. She lets her douchebag children dictate baloney and she just goes with the flow. I feel sorry for her. They take advantage of her constantly.

This is the question that keeps getting asked. All throughout the week those reporting on this story kept asking this and last night the guy on CNN said he has asked so many of Janet's friends and even they don't get it.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of this scandal plays out,but as of right now,it's easy to see what's going on here.

Lawd, did you hear that long before all this broke out that Randy and Jermaine had previously petitioned the Estate to get financial help to aid them in their child support (and I guess avoid jail) when they were being sued by their BabyMama? Is that the woman that was squatting in Katherine's house, btw? The one who's now living in one of Michael's condos in return for silence and a promise not to write a tell-all?

yeah,I heard about that.Also,in the past,they moved their children into Katherine's home and basically made her take care of kids that *they* couldn't afford to support.But now that she no longer does that,they suddenly decide that they must obtain money 'another way' this latest scheme is what they came up with.They see that MJ's kids are living in a huge,beautiful home and being properly taken care by Katherine,while they're having trouble taking care of their own kids and paying child support.They're trying to shatter all that,contest the will and get a share of the loot for themselves.

The biological mother of Michael Jackson's two eldest kids has concerns about a plan to permanently change their guardianship - and she wants assurances from the Gloved One's mom.

Debbie Rowe has been following developments in the family's public battle over beloved matriarch Katherine Jackson and is hoping to get more information on a proposal to add Michael's nephew TJ Jackson, 34, as a permanent co-guardian ahead of a court hearing next week, a well-placed source told the Daily News Friday.

"Debbie would like Katherine to consult her before making any changes to the agreement they worked out together after Michael died," the source said. "This would set up a whole different dynamic. She needs to see more details."

Rowe raced back to southern California from a horse show last weekend when she heard family members reported Katherine missing, the source said.

Though she handed Michael full custody of son Prince Michael, now 15, and daughter Paris, now 14, when they divorced in 1999, and didn't intervene after his death, Rowe has seen the kids on more than one occasion in the last three years, the source said.

The visitation was part of an agreement she struck with Katherine directly - a pact that also called for limited interaction with patriarch Joe Jackson, the source said.

Rowe, 53, was concerned about Joe's influence because Michael had accused his dad of physical abuse, sources previously told The News.

"As long as Katherine is still actively involved (with the kids), there shouldn't be a problem. But they never agreed to let TJ be a decision maker. (Rowe) knows TJ from when he was little. She knows he's close to the kids. But she might ask for more custodial responsibility if he's making decisions she doesn't agree with," the Rowe source said Friday.

TJ has been helping Katherine care for the kids at their Calabasas home and was granted temporary guardianship Wednesday amid a familial fracas pitting Michael's three kids against his siblings Janet, Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie.

Prince and Paris voiced allegations on Twitter that they were blocked from speaking with Katherine during a surprise 9-day trip to an Arizona spa organized by the aunts and uncles.

the main problem with analyst's breakdown is this, the money is already under the control of other people, not the family. tj doesn't call the shots on this money, and neither do the kids. neither does katherine. THE EXECUTORS control the money and will for the forseable future. mj's will says that in the event that the executors cannot fulfill their duties, then a bank will be appointed. the family will NEVER control mj's estate. therefore, is no reason for "somebody" to divide the kids and tjs against the family. those "somebodies" already their hands on the money.

Janet showed her true colors after Michael passed when she did all those interviews throwing him under bus and making false assumptions. From then on I realize that she isnt all innocent like the media and her fans like to portray and she is shady.

The reason why Janet got involved because she do not what her greedy brothers to go after her money like they went after Michaels all these years.
