I thought Janet was vacationing with her boyfriend in Italy?

I have to say....that's a NICE house that Katherine and the kids live in I bet that some of the other family members would love to move in,with their children too! That's why they're trying to contest the will.They want a piece of all this luxury.

Everything just sounds way too salacious for my taste.

I bet there's a bunch of half-truths in all of these reports.

My theory:

The family is worried about the money. Katherine is getting up in age and if her health has taken a turn then it's got them worried about the estate because they have no control.

The executors(sp) of the estate will have a lot of power over the money once Katherine is gone because the children are still minors. IF they feel the executors are mishandling funds (if true it can be proven in court) the family wants to have control over the estate. Like I said before the family probably feels that the estate would and should be in their possession RATHER than strangers, after all they are family.

Rather people want to admit it or not the family is the reason for Michael's reluctant success. If the money is going to be lived off of why not the family as oppossed to some corporate lawyer who lucked into being an executor?

I'm not anthropologically versed in the Jackson family dynamic but I do know this; the family has been demonized in the public. So all these tabloid reports (to the untrained ear) sound far fetched.

Because apparently Michael had his own reasons for making it that way and from looking at how things are going right now, they may have been damn good reasons.

it's absurd,isn't it? Last week,we heard about that scathing letter.,signed by several of the brothers,as well as Janet.Then we wake up on Sunday morning,reading alarming headlines about Katherine "missing" and on Monday afternoon,we learn that there was some kind of fight/scuffle at the Jackson household.I just wonder what the next major shocker will be.

I can't believe that these are GROWN PEOPLE,carrying on like this! What a poor example they're setting for Michael's children.

They are not naming who got in the fight cause it's obvious a minor was involved. I thought of Janet too though, I'm losing more and more respect for her, and have always supported her, but I can't now.

If you think her behavior is questionable,look at the "adults" around her and how they're behaving.They're setting quite an example,aren't they?

I feel really bad for the kids and think they are victims in this and they are unsafe, but I also think being around family like the Jacksons at a young age is bound to have them repeat similar patterns eg. running to the media and it's not unfamiliar behaviour to Paris like it would be to us, even if we can't relate. I don't blame her for being mad though I don't know if Twitter was the way to go or not either, maybe it really was a cry for help, bratty or not.

Katherine is definitely stressed out and could use a break, she cries all the time in interviews now, and seeing those kids are a sad reminder of michael being gone, but a quick hi or something could have prevented this from escalating.

I don't think I can trust the family either though, they are acting really weird, and yes they are greedy.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department feels "used and manipulated" by Michael Jackson's family members who reported Katherine Jackson missing ... this according to Sheriff's Dept. sources.

Members of the Dept. familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... they believe MJ's family members knew Katherine was not in danger but used the Sheriff's Dept. as a "pawn in the middle of a family game."

Sheriff's sources grouse that their budget has been severely cut which makes bogus claims sting even more than usual. They believe the end game here is money.

As you know ... MJ's brothers and sisters want Michael's will invalidated so they can get a piece of the pie. But there's a BIG problem. If the will is invalidated, the prior will gets resurrected, and under that document Michael's siblings are completely cut out.

Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore tells TMZ, "We don't feel manipulated. We respond professionally to all such reports."

BTW ... no matter what the family's motives, the Sheriff's Dept. will continue to investigate the claims.
