I really am not into this guy. I don't often do that; come into threads and say I don't like something. But I tried to like his album and I'm not really sure what people are seeing. Pilot Jones doesn't sound anymore like Prince than Andre 3000's solo Love Below (which I found to be lacking any Princeyness). The rest of the tracks just kind of remind me of a few other artists out right now like Kanye, Shad, Whiz, and others.

What the hell am I missing?

because the editing that is going on in some of these forums is rediculous lately.

9 out of 10 times a great discussion is just locked because it's 'a duplicate' and then the

new Uberthread that gets opened just dies a slow death.

plus, there is a difference between 2 threads reporting the exact same news or just two

If you knew anything about him you'd know that he's apart of the group OF which is a hip hop group, making him apart of the hip-hop world. Also - I was a fan long before he came out. Many others were too.

What's so brilliant about it? There is nothing unique about his voice, and the music is old.

Even worse, Earl Sweatshirt's feature on one of the songs was below his usual standard, and the best composition was Tyler's (an instrumental).
