Question is-is there a female artist who has thrown more in general or at other female artists more than ReRe?

Why doesn't Aretha like women? That's news to me. Not only has she covered songs composed by females (like her late sister Carolyn), she has dueted with many female artists and has spoken highly of others.

Just because Aretha says it in public don't mean it's always been that way privately. She considers other female artists her competition in private but yeah she says she "has no problem" with them in public. C'mon you gonna believe just one side of the argument mane? Plus I'm sure she loved her sisters but they were her competition too.

Aretha has admiration/fondness for Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Anita Baker . She one time called Brandy Norwood, "Sweet". On a Xmas concert once she called Faith Evans, "Faith Hill" when introducing her, LOL She also has spoken nicley of Lauryn Hill after the "A Rose Is Still A Rose" sessions. Basically Aretha is guarded and shy, and considering many of the things she has been through in her life - I think it is understood, even if nor favored BTW, the duets (with females), except gospel ones are the brainchild work of Clive Davis, not Aretha.

^ I guess but Chaka is like 4'11! I think some of it might also be that she was in a GROUP first and not solo like Natalie for example. Also she says one of her sons was crushing on Chaka.

They're cool though, which surprises the hell outta me of all the folks that I expected to be tasting the wrath of Aretha, Chaka NEVER did. She once said that when she named herself Chaka, she was looking for a name that would be translated into "She who takes no shit", I guess this was the case.

Andre was the original drummer of Rufus. The fight between him and Richard Holland (Chaka's second ex) occurred because Richard and Andre had penned a song for the Ask Rufus song and I'm guessing, because Andre was already jealous of Richard (there's stories Andre tried to get with Chaka and she rebuffed him because she didn't wanna date members of the band), when Richard complained about something, Andre snapped. They took their fight outside the studio and when Chaka saw what was going on, she raced to the scene and of course defended her husband so she jumped on Andre's back and began to hit him upside his head, Andre hit her back and the rest of Rufus struggled to get Chaka off him.
