Yeah, everybody back in the day thought Prince and Madonna were the crazy, balls-to-the-wall (or face) kinda people and that Whitney and MJ were the family-friendly, Disney-safe type entertainers. And in reality, it was the exact opposite. Just glad that they're still around at least. Though, I really wish my Lady T and Slick Rick were still here, as well.

I think that is part of the problem, they were so worried about pleasing everyone else, they lost themselves and turned to drugs to ease their pain, while Prince and Madonna gave a big fuck you to the world and pretty much didn't care what people thought of them. Less pressure that way. Less demons to run from.
