Like I said, check out what Michael said about his relationship with Jesus in the book I linked

Just like you believe Michael may have made a deal with Satan and lied about it, I believe different

Frank Cascio along with a lot of people have said many things since Michael's passed

Michael was raised as a Jevohah's Witness. He left the JW church in 1987. He spent time around priests, rabbis, and other religious teachers to get a better understanding of faiths and religions when he got older, but he constantly said he believed in Jesus

I respect your opinion but I disagree

Well said. And I respect your opinion. Just because someone says they believe in Jesus doesn't mean they do.

Listen klick, you keep saying you respect people's opinion well dig this...

Everyone in this thread does NOT believe Michael was a Satanist or any type of devil worshipper. And I personally am offended that this video (and you indirectly) is implying that Michael's in hell and we're evil because we are his fans. A man who talks about healing the world, preserving our planet, saving our children, and promoting oneness of humanity a devil worshipper? Bullshit to the nth degree. disbelief

Michael was first and foremost a God-fearing man who believed in the betterment of humanity. This stupid girl in the video is spouting a cheapened version of Dante's Inferno and you soak it up like a sponge. Think for yourself, huh?

You're free to think whatever you want about Michael Jackson, but don't expect anyone on this thread to share your viewpoint. So please stop insisting it's true.

I take offense to the whole idea of this video. So I respectfully ask you to take this...this horrid slander and rubbish away, and don't bother this thread anymore. These ideas are not welcome here. We're just people sharing our love for a great man and we won't have this nonsense forced into our throats.

WAS MICHAEL JACKSON SATANIC? IS HE IN HELL NOW?

Please watch the entire video to get the full effect. If not, you can fast foward to 54 minutes and 40 seconds to hear this young girl's testamony about hell and MJ.

klick

So demons are moonwalking in hell.....lol

WAS MICHAEL JACKSON SATANIC? NO

IS HE IN HELL NOW? NO

and as far as Michael making a pact with the devil for his talent, and fame, that is just ridiculous. Michael had talent very early on in his life,WAY before Thriller. The man was born with it in his blood, and as many other people have already said Michael always credited his talent to God,even his song writing skills.

Still seems unreal Michael's gone, huh?

It still hurts. He's the reason why I started loving music. I remember the day he was gon, it was so surreal. I just remember listneing to the radio and hearing Man In The Mirror and just breaking down. disbelief

Though I was always into music, getting into him made me want to be ACTIVE in music and push myself to do way better and feel emotions. He was beautiful inside and out, and I still miss him today and am not over his death at all. I feel angry with him for dying, and it's not from blaming him cause I don't, it's cause I didn't know it was going to hurt so much. I know everyone has to go and I thought if something happened to him, I would be numb but know his pain is over and that's what I thought would happen, but Murray came along, and I was mentally and emotionally destroyed by it cause of putting too much energy towards being a fan and blaming myself for letting it get this way sad

im intrested in 2 books "Michael Jackson Conspiracy" by Aphrodite Jones. and "redemption" by Geraldine Hughes.

both books are about the child molestion charges, and proving his innocence..

i was only 8 in 03 when the trial was going on and am not very educated on it.. of coarse i know michael was innocent, but whenever i have the "michael jackson was guilty" arguement, i would like to be able to throw facts in their face to prove he was innocent..

if anyone has read these books. do you recomend them?

[Edited 2/11/12 15:08pm]

I've been reading MJ bios since back in the day when Moonwalker was first published, and the book by Goldman and the first issue of Magic and the Madness.

Of course most books pre-93 and post 2009 were somewhat balanced and favourable there was the odd one or two that have clear agendas.

For insight into the trial I would recommend "Conspiracy" by Aphrodite Jones and to a lesser extend Ian Halperin's book.

Despite many fans having a love hate relationship with Taborelli's books I find them for the most part reasonably honest in their portrayal, though you do have to take his recreated conversations as a narrative device with a grain of salt.

For the music - you can't go past MITM by Joe Vogel. Bruce Swediens book is also quite informative though very tech heavy if you aren't aware of recording processes.

Jermain and Frank Cascio's books both are good reads though both suffer from the stories coming with their own bias in recounting tales.

I'm not trying to be funny, but I recommend both of Latoya's books too. Though I take what she says with a grain of salt sometimes, she has a lot of good stories about him, and she has been through a lot as a person sad

Back to that clip. It's one thing if you've decided not to continue listening to him because of your beliefs, and we can agree to disagree. However, for you to completely disrespect my own beliefs overall that you know nothing about in real life and act like I'm misguided cause I don't follow Jesus as a child of God is very out of line and this type of religious persecution towards another is exactly what led to wars, so don't even try to hijack this thread and start one. If it's part of your belief system to preach the word of god, this is no door-to-door forum, so thank you for your time.

Has anyone ever noticed how different MJ looked from Beat It to Thriller? If you notice, MJ pretty much looks the same from Billie Jean, Motown 25 and Beat It...But once the Thriller video came out, he looked darker...I'm also pretty certain he got another nose job between the videos.

I think Michael mentioned that his vitiligo started to appear in between the making of the Beat It and Thriller videos so he had to use makeup to darken the spots.

nod Yes, that was poorly chosen foundation. From that point until like 1991, Karen Faye could never match his skin tone correctly.

I always felt Michael should have had a Black hair stylist and make up artist because they would have exactly knew how to manage his hair and what shades of makeup was best for him...

Chile, yes!

I swear...I'm still reeling from the fact he wore orange eyeshadow to the Virgin megastore signing.

Orange...muthafucking...eyeshadow disbelief

Michael's makeup looked nice during Invincible when he did an interview, with TV guide I think. He had short hair, and a dark blue shirt with a chain and subtle makeup colours. I used to get mad at people saying he needed someone else and thought it was judgmental, but when you do makeup or beauty procedures, you are subconsciously projecting your own standards of beauty or aspects of how you make yourself look onto your clients, and maybe that's what was happening with Michael though I would think he had full control over how he wanted to look too. If he was still alive, I thnk Kevyn Aucoin would have been a great makeup artist for him cause he was so talented and worked well with people of all backgrounds and made them look simply divine. He did Janet's makeup in the 90's, also worked with LMP and Madonna, and I think he had done the Rolling Stone shoot in 91'

Makeup talk!!!! ^ haha that orange eyeshadow was hardly noticeable.

And meh, I don't think we should blame that on his makeup artist. Eventually he was the one who looked in the mirror and decided whether it was ok or not, so MJ must've approved that color. I've noticed when MJ does interviews/photo shoots/music videos, etc, he constantly checks his hair and how he looks and all that, so I think at least 99% of the time when he was in a public place, the way he looked was how he wanted to portray himself. He wore orange blush too u know razz

So to me, what he wore was mostly his choice, but how he wore is something we can blame his makeup girl for!! In some of the pictures, his makeup is not well done. Foundation was mentioned, I agree. I bought this single last year and look at the smudged eyeliner on his right eye!

Um u r supposed to put eyeliner slightly above his lash line NOT on his eyelid!! mad And oh there are so many pictures of him wearing blush, and it's unevenly pigmented on his cheeks...wth!

...anyway, I always thought vitiligo had a huge impact on him..plastic surgeries, makeup and everything else. He obviously wore lots of makeup to look dramatic and androgynous, but then I look at some of Prince's pics....................I realize Michael's makeup isn't that weird after all biggrin

Its not being judgmental when the criticism is based on her work. I think being judgmental is judging before you get to know a person or in this case see a persons work as a makeup artist.

Ive never particularly cared for Karen Faye as Michaels hair stylist and makeup artist because she did not do a good job. She used alot of unflattering shades on Michael and put to much make up on him alot of times. I also think she gave more of a feminine look to Michael with certain colors she used. Even in the 80s with Thriller she did not do a good job with his jerry curl but its because she didnt have alot of experience with that hair texture. Yes, I would have GREATLY prefered a black hair stylist and make up artist because they would have had experience with Michaels hair texture and skin tone to pick better shades...

While Michael looks attractive in the Thriller video... Karen put WAY to much obvious dark make up that did not blend at all with his skin and instead made him appear darker than what he was.

At the Virgin megastore signing... that orange eyeshadow was no excuse at all...

Though your makeup artist doesn't have to be limited to race, and this goes for anyone not just mj, being the same background helps a lot cause of being familiar with features that could be similar to your own and knowing how to work with it and how to accentuate the best features and be creative with it.

MJ fans, I need your help...

I am writing a piece regarding the reaction Michael gave to only being nominated for Best R&B Vocal Performance at the 22nd Grammy Awards. I believe that this event added to the spark that lit the fire inside him to create Thriller.

I was wondering if anyone could give me anymore information (with sources) regarding his reaction. What I have so far is:

1. He did not attend the awards because of this
2. He watched at home with Katherine, Latoya and Janet
3. It was on Weds Feb 27 1980
4. After crying a lot, he said out loud "You watch. The next album I do, you just... I'll show them"
5. He was upset Off the Wall didn't win Record of the Year and he told John Branca "it can never happen again".

That's about it. Any other details you could help me out with (big or small" would be greatly appreciated, particularly events leading up to this and after.

Thank you
