Me too Thunder. I don't really have ANY EWF records. My mother was a big fan and had many of their LP's but I was just a kid. By the time I was in the record buying age.. it was the late 80s and CD's were in.
It would cost a fortune to duplicate this on vinyl or even individual CDs. You get the original albums with the original art work on the CD cover???

Deal! I have on CD right now only Greatest hits 1 and 2, and "I Am," which was a huge influence on me in high school. That's how old I am and I say again--Deal for a Steal! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Hi,
My name is Rob and I was the one who posted this one on "the other forum". I've read some posts in here about the subject and I agree to a lot of them. Especially to those who say that remastered albums don't have that much to offer except more loudness to it. To me, the only reason to buy a remastered cd is when unreleased tracks are added. If it’s only one or two tracks, than it’s enough for me. So, in this case there's two songs I don't have: "Insensitive" and "Eyes Of Hope". Both songs are included on the last disc from this set called: "Constellations: The Universe OF EWF".
But let me introduce myself a bit here. I've been an EWF-fan since 1980 and saw them 7 or 8 times live on stage. The first time was in 1982 so I was lucky enough to have seen founder Maurice White live on stage. But I've been a Prince fan since 1984 or so. I've seen Prince more often live than EWF. I've been to I believe 9 or 10 Prince gigs in the past. The first time was during the Parade-tour in 1986. When I was there, I was sold! I've seen a MJ-concert once in 1987, but never were people that crazy as during a Prince-concert!
The second time I saw Prince was in 1987 during the SOTT-tour. Next, there was Lovesexy, which I've seen 3 times (2 times in Rotterdam and the other in Dortmund in 1988. That's where the dvd for Livesexy was made. Still one of the best concerts EVER on this planet!!! -- btw, you can see me in the audience on the far left during the piano-version of "Raspberry Beret", all dressed up in peach and black ). The version of "The Cross" from this concert is brilliant and the best ever! Than there was the Nude-tour, which I've seen 4 times: twice in Rotterdam, once in Heerenveen and once in Dortmund again. The last time I saw Prince live on stage was in Maastricht in 1992.
I believe the world has become a better place since Prince introduced himself to music. [Edited 10/11/11 22:30pm] 'Liberate My Mind'

Now this is a box set that really has a lot to offer. This is a brilliant collection of EWF's catalogue added with lots of new and unreleased tracks. To me, this one beats "The Columbia Masters" by miles! 'Liberate My Mind'

Hey Rob. Lucky you to have seen the elements of the universe Live in concert with Maurice White.
I have never seen EWF before... but that sounds like a good ticket. Of course it won't be the same without Maurice. And I imagine I better do this soon, because the fellas are getting a little older. I bet that concert was OFF THE HOOK.
Dang I was born to damn late! I have seen Prince twice... but there are so many other worthy acts that I wish I had seen for some funky good show but now the fellas are in their 60s and 70s.
You know the shows won't be the same.
REcently saw Phil Collins doing a live show... I guess it was a Motown review. Honestly no disrespect, he sounded like an old man... Frank Sinatra like singing someone else's hits... hits made by teens back in the day... and he sounds like an old man trying to catch that young vibe. I missed out seeing Phil with Genesis sitting at the drums singing and playing like you see in the yt videos. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Hey,
Yep, EWF with Maurice is a totally different story than the band without him. They still tour quite a lot, so the chances of them coming to a place near you are quite big.
One of the bands I would like to have seen live is Queen --- with Freddy Mercury of course.
I remember reading an article recently that Phil Collins is thinking about retiring and that he has some health problems, so that might be the reason why he didn't sound like you expected. But all 'n all he's a good artist and great song writer, although his adventures with the Motown stuff are not my cup of tea as well. 'Liberate My Mind'
