George Lopez getting cancelled

Just read tomorrow's show is the last one. Lopez was moved back an hour to accomodate Conan O'Brien's show.

Hmm another show I'm not surprised of its cancellation.

That's simply wrong on every level. George graciously agreed to accomodate Conan by moving to a different time period; the same respect should be given in return. Give him enough time to build up an audience for that time. When Conan started in David Letterman's old time slot, hardly anyone watched him. It took time for him to build the following that eventually got him the Tonight Show. So Conan got shafted and now George gets shafted. For a time slot that ain't gonna get the numbers that Conan's does. disbelief Conan should champion George with every weapon he has at his disposal.

Conan did mention George tonight. And George mentioned a Smurfs sequel, I guess he did some voice work.

I really don't give a s**t that Conan mentioned George. First (obviously unlike many others) I can't STAND Conan, never could, don't now. Secondly, I wouldn't say that George "graciously agreed" to the change in time. I doubt that he had any sayso in that move. He was forced to the later time just like Arsenio was when they wanted to give Letterman his time slot. I think Conan demanded the earlier time and they paid him a lot to come there and gave him what he asked for. I don't think any of these networks will ever give a minority first dibs if SOMEBODY else wants it. They know damn well that the numbers are not going to be as good at the later hour. That's a good excuse, though, I suppose. As I said on another page, there are people/acts we saw on Lopez Tonight (just like Arsenio) that you won't see for a LO-O-O-OG time. Trust me on that! And yes, I'm p***ed---again!

I agree with everything you said. This shoots down on the bullshit Conan was talking about what fair and what's not and the decent thing to do.... as it pertains to "Late Night" drama.

Entertainer

Never really watched him as staying up to midnight to watch a show and then get up in the morning as many do for work isn't gonna get you viewership. That's just elementary. I did watch a few episodes and appreciated that he had acts on that probably couldn't get on the bigger shows.

So that's Mo'Nique show and now George Lopez shows gone! Are there any minority hosted talk/entertainment shows left? They could bring Arsenio back and I believe he threw himself into the pool last week but those nasty plats in his head has gots to go!
