Julie Driscoll

A lot of Julie's music was done in collaboration with organist Brian Auger, and she started out in a group called Steampacket, which also contained Rod Stewart. Her later music was released under her married name Julie Tippetts.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Julie's got an interesting voice and Brian Auger is a major bad-ass on organ.
