Ma Jackson told Joe just to admit that he beat them on Oprah....

Anyway... I can't believe it will be 2 years in 4 days... I loved the times when out of nowhere you would here something about Michael, how I long for those times.

The Jackson kids recently got a glimpse of the coolest Michael Jackson memorial yet -- in the form of a SICK custom-painted motorcycle ... depicting the King of Pop at various stages in his career.

Paris Jackson tweeted the photos over the weekend -- and the timing couldn't be more perfect ... because this Saturday marks the two-year anniversary of their father's death.

Sadly, yes. I never saw it but according to fans, she attracted alot of sickos and haters. Looks like someone got a clue and finally made her account private. It sucks she had to go through that crap. It broke my heart reading from fans what was being said to her. sad

Her pictures made it to the public so it must not be all that private but it’s odd. I would expect her to have twitter etc but for it to be out in the open I wouldn’t think but I guess since her cousins twitters are I shouldn’t be surprised.

Honestly you are replying to the wrong person with your statement lol there has been many times I would say get over it (to put it in a nutshell) about the Jacksons drama. I don't know Michael or his relationship with family so I rarely defend but I will call out the B.S when I see it. I'm not Mol though lol I might be one of the main ones that actually like them in this thread lol but still regardless when those questions are asked about Joe they should not even respond it ‘s always a contradiction. I don't even keep up with them anymore so I can care less these days lol

I'm actually not such a fan, although I do love the Jackson 5 and Off the Wall. That said, this is a true story that I thought the folks here might appreciate. It happened about a year ago:

Not sure if "tomb" is the right word, but I stood feet away from his grave which is closed off the the general public.

That's the place?? Wow....

Is his name engraved or on a plaque anywhere on the stone? And since the public can't get in there, who put those flowers [apparently from fans] around like that? The staff?

People just hang out outside the mausoleum, others drop flowers and other things outside the front door. A couple of times a day, the guards for the cemetery bring whatever is left outside to the crypt. Interestingly, I didn't see his name anywhere, but it's a pretty big space. Not visible in the pic, stacked on the walls to the left and right are several empty tombs which I assume are for his family.

Oh, wow, ok. Thanks for the info. I don't think anyone else has posted a picture of the actual monument/tomb online before. I certainly have never seen one until now. Pretty intense.

No prob. I'm not really a fan, so the intensity was lost on me. I was more interested in the crazies who just hang out outside all day. smile

Here is another pic if you're interested. This would be the floor just off to the left of the first pic. The wall in the rear shows the bottom (I think of three) of the empty tombs I mentioned, also mirrored on the right wall.

The section is roped off (right about to the lower left of this pic), and there are video cameras mounted, so I didn't want to linger too long taking pictures. When they buzzed me in to see my great-grandpa, they asked me not to wander. I guess that should have alerted me to MJ being there. I would say the whole space of the crypt is about 400 square feet; not huge but pretty big.

I don't know if I need to go to Forest Lawn or not now. I'm not really reacting though I'm a huge fan, and I don't feel as sad as I expected. I think I have become stronger though I still feel helpless about what happened.

Forest Lawn is interesting and unique in that it was originally intended to be a park and a cemetery, where the living could spend a whole day near their deceased loved ones, go to a museum, library, etc. The vision wasn't fulfilled, I guess he was ahead of his time, but the story behind the place is kind of fascinating if you're into history.

My friend came to visit me from NY. We thought it would be fun to weed, put the top down and go... it was a nice day.

My friend who´s just travelling round the US is planning on visiting the cemetary. I think I would probably also visit if I happened to be closeby, even though it wuld probably be too much for me.

BTW, I´ve already asked this question once, but i still don´t know the answer, was Mike cremated or buried?

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Almost two years to the day that we lost such a remarkable human being. His personal issues aside, no artist defined my childhood and love for music as much as this man.

I remember driving to class and preparing to do a group presentation and my cousin called and said MJ was dead. I was thinking it was a sick joke, but I remember the radios cutting into regular programming to announce he was in critical condition. I remembered being paralyzed with so many feelings of sadness. Never been to a concert, but lived for the music, the videos, and whatever was coming next from the guy. By the time I got to school, I just couldn't bring myself to do the presentation that day, but went to the lobby to watch the TV and all the video montages, celebrity testimonials, and eulogies started pouring in.

Even writing this, I find myself just listening to some of the old J5/MJ songs like "Music and Me", "With a Child's Heart", and "Happy" thinking how in the 50 years he was on this Earth, even as a child, his music, talent, and charisma just transcended those of everyone else around him. Katherine and Joe Jackson, despite whatever failings they may have had as parents, gave us a wonderfully talented group of children who provided the world with beautiful sounds. Most specifically, they provided us with Michael, a once in a lifetime entertainer who combined otherwordly talents to become the greatest entertainer of all time.

In the end, others may play instruments, others may have redefined pop culture as a group, and others still may wear a man made tile of music royalty in a bygone era, but no man (IMO) has had the far reaching global appeal of MJ and with the 2 year anniversary coming up, I hope those of us who grew up on this man's music keep his music front and center for future generations to cherish and admire forever.

Love lives forever....

Eloquent tribute. I agree with every single word. Beautiful.

None of his kids should ever have public accounts on any sites or ever interact with their dad's fans, online or otherwise. Really fucked up stuff is always bound to happen - either from random assholes who just want to ambush them and talk shit about their dad; or crazy, obsessed MJ fans.

Jermaine Jackson Unveils the 'Michael Jackson Experience'

posted by Rebecca Detken - Tue Jun 21 2011, 4:31 PM PDT

June 25 marks the second anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, which is why Madame Tussauds in Hollywood is hosting a special traveling exhibit celebrating the King of Pop, titled the Michael Jackson Experience, which will be on display in Los Angeles this summer before heading to Las Vegas in September.

MJ's older brother Jermaine was on hand Monday -- along with his third wife, Halima, and sons Jaafar, 14, and Jermajesty, 10 -- to unveil three wax figurines from Europe depicting the musical superstar at three stages in his career: The Jackson 5 years, the Invincible era, and the "This Is It" Michael.

"We lost an incredible human being and his spirit is with us," Jermaine, 56, told the crowd. "We feel him every day and I'm pretty sure you do as well."

The singer also revealed that his family is planning a Jackson 5 reunion tour. "Michael would want us to continue on," said Jermaine. "The brothers now are ready just to keep the legacy going and the music. We're meeting today about putting a tour together just to play the music because it's such wonderful music. We need to continue to play this music because it's healing for us."

The Michael Jackson Experience will officially open to the public on June 24 and will be included as part of Madame Tussauds regular admission price. Interestingly enough, the Gloved One first sat for a Madame Tussauds wax sculpture in 1984, and was sculpted six times before his death. He is the most widely exhibited figure in the Madame Tussauds worldwide empire.

Jermaine's wife Halima (hiding in the back) and sons Jermajesty and Jaafar were also in attendance.
