Guys...I miss Michael.

I was watching the much music video awards and all this craziness because of Lady Gaga...freakin' teenage boys fainting and crying in her presence...

I don't hate Lady Gaga...and I like a couple of songs. But I don't think for the quality of music that she makes, and the length of time that she's been in the industry...I don't think she deserves even 1/2 of this attention.

I feel that this hype around her is kinda like...people are forgetting about MJ and embracing someone else.

Michael could walk into an antiques store and have a crowd outside crying and fainting. I feel people might be forgetting about him and it disturbs me.

Maybe I just live in a place where there aren't many fans. sigh

I really miss hearing about him...sightings of him used to be something I looked forward to, with some dread because of the lack of privacy that the media gave him. But I liked seeing glimpses of him. And when he did a show....it was a national event.

I miss his presence....cry And I can't believe it's been two years since he left us...

It's ok to miss Michael. It's natural. There will always be a "what would he be doing now" hanging around.

But don't rob other fans of their passion for a star. People aren't forgetting Michael. People didn't forget Elvis or The Beatles when Michael and Prince came along. They are just new fans for a new star.

And with these new stars like Gaga - there are obvious nods back to MJ and the like in their work. They talk about it, reference him.

I totally get where you're coming from as at times it annoys me that Usher or Beyonce will do something that is an obvious steal from MJ and I think man these fans don't know what's happening. But at some point you have to let the music play and let fans enjoys things.

I would hate to rob someone of being passionate about music, the way I was (and still am).

Michael's music will be here long after we all are.

Oh Swa..truly you are the voice of reason. mushy

I'm not trying to rob others of their love for a new star. It was just a feeling I had to express.

They can have their star and enjoy her. I just...idk. A while ago, a friend of mine visited Forrest Lawn...and passed by the mausoleum to put a rose for Michael. She described bouquets of dead and withered flowers being put aside. When she told me this, my heart broke. I felt like people forgot so quickly...

Anyways, I told her I'd send money to put a bouquet of sunflowers there for me. But due to the postal workers strike here in Canada, I can't send any, so she did it for free. mushy

I'm just glad that we, as a group, haven't forgotten him. I'm glad that hasn't died for us..and hopefully, it never will.

Barry Gibb talks to Michael’s fans: “The songs on it’s way!”

Recently Barry Gibb has released teasers of a song he recored with Michael called All In Your Name. Now Barry has talked to the fans through Twitter again:

“To all of michael’s fans, your response to our teaser has been awesome and I want to take this moment to thankyou all for being so kind.

I’m sure you already feel it but I have to tell you how much Michael loved and cherished all of you. The songs on it’s way! God speed! Barry”

I honestly kinda tear up when I watch the latest videos that were created for the "Michael" album because I know MJ would have never done those videos like that. Now that I think about it, everything about that album is wrong. Even the songs he's actually singing on [except for "Behind The Mask"]... sad

The songs he actually did sounded unfinished anyways, they probably were.

I never even bothered buying that disc or even listening to most of the songs from it - to be completely frank, I don't even consider than an MJ product.

Almost two years to the day that we lost such a remarkable human being. His personal issues aside, no artist defined my childhood and love for music as much as this man.

I remember driving to class and preparing to do a group presentation and my cousin called and said MJ was dead. I was thinking it was a sick joke, but I remember the radios cutting into regular programming to announce he was in critical condition. I remembered being paralyzed with so many feelings of sadness. Never been to a concert, but lived for the music, the videos, and whatever was coming next from the guy. By the time I got to school, I just couldn't bring myself to do the presentation that day, but went to the lobby to watch the TV and all the video montages, celebrity testimonials, and eulogies started pouring in.

Even writing this, I find myself just listening to some of the old J5/MJ songs like "Music and Me", "With a Child's Heart", and "Happy" thinking how in the 50 years he was on this Earth, even as a child, his music, talent, and charisma just transcended those of everyone else around him. Katherine and Joe Jackson, despite whatever failings they may have had as parents, gave us a wonderfully talented group of children who provided the world with beautiful sounds. Most specifically, they provided us with Michael, a once in a lifetime entertainer who combined otherwordly talents to become the greatest entertainer of all time.

In the end, others may play instruments, others may have redefined pop culture as a group, and others still may wear a man made tile of music royalty in a bygone era, but no man (IMO) has had the far reaching global appeal of MJ and with the 2 year anniversary coming up, I hope those of us who grew up on this man's music keep his music front and center for future generations to cherish and admire forever.

JL - Hopefully the original video will "leak" from the director or dancers in the film. i saw the picture on the other thread..where there any more??

naughty - I understand that its hard to watch imitators for sure...I am just glad Hollywood Tonight and Behind The Mask got releases instead of Monster or a video for Breaking News..good gawd. The fan videos will bring exposure to the music.

Everyone expected them to release Monster as a single, which is funny. Some fans even said it was the best song on the album.....

It's not confirmed yet, but The Way You Love Me remix looks like it's going to be the next single

let's check the stats so far...

UK- #4

Hold My Hand

Hot 100- #39

Billboard R&B- #33

Yeah I was wondering how The Girl Is Mine even ended up there! confuse But it was a nice start up cuz I had a young kid with me when I first broke out the game, and he really didn't know where to start.

Yes, I agree those songs should be choreographed for the game. I was disappointed when I found absolutely NO JACKSONS OR JACKSON 5 material.

Girl can't get her "Blame It On The Boogie" on?? What a rip off pout

I miss his presence....cry And I can't believe it's been two years since he left us...

confused lol

Huh? She’s just hot right now no different from anyone else being embraced. There’s always going to be someone new to come along no one has forgotten about Michael. She will never be Michael.

Panini America Makes History with Michael Jackson-Worn Memorabilia Trading Cards

They say clothes don’t make the man. But these aren’t just any clothes and this isn’t just any man.

Sometimes, under extraordinary circumstances, clothes do make the man. They make him more collectible, more memorable, and perhaps even more touchable than he’s ever been.

The man in this case is, well, “The Man” – Michael Jackson. As for the history-making clothes, they were worn by the King of Pop himself from 1971 through 1974 during many memorable performances, including “The Flip Wilson Show,” “American Bandstand,” “Soul Train,” and televised specials anchored by such luminaries as Bob Hope and Diana Ross.

Leading trading card manufacturer Panini America purchased the history-soaked pieces of sartorial splendor at auction two years ago — and cut them up.

As a result, Jackson fans and collectors everywhere will have the unique opportunity to own pieces of Jackson when the company’s Official Michael Jackson Trading Card Set hits stores next week.

“We’re thrilled to be able to partner with the Jackson estate in an official capacity to honor Michael’s memory and his legendary career with this truly unique trading card set,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “We’ve been working diligently for more than two years to bring this set to market, and we’re confident that the inclusion of Jackson-worn memorabilia will make this a product unlike any other we’ve ever produced.”

Below you’ll find a stunning gallery of the Jackson memorabilia cards randomly inserted into the set, along with the corresponding auction description of the respective piece of clothing used.

The Official Michael Jackson Trading Card Set will be available starting next week at Target stores nationwide and at the Panini America Online Store.

Love lives forever....

Thanks for that...so true...cry Not to mention he had a heart of gold and tried to give back as much as possible..and stood for awareness, peace, love, compassion cry so rare
