Father's of Famous Musicians

There's names that come to mind of the good Father's of famous musicians as well as the over-bearing stage Fathers.

I can think of Murry Wilson the father of Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson. Some of what I've read about and watched on the television movie titled "The Beach Boys: An American Family," shows father, Murry Wilson as a domineering and manipulative stage father. Howeve Murry Wilson played a very large part in the success of the Beach Boys.

Joe Jackson wore the title of "abusive father" in the late eighties via actual words from members of his famous brood, "The Jackson Five." However Joe honed his son's talent and produced some of the greatest talent of the past and this generation. Joe Jackson's fatherly method was harsh, unrepentent and at time could be considered vicious.

John Francis Bongiovi, Sr., father of the lead singer for the band Bon Jovi did not cause any documented negative drama in son John Francis Bongiovi, Jr's life. Lead vocal of New Jersey rock band Bon Jovi, early life does not contain a lot of controversy. Father Bongiovi was only supportive and positive regarding his son's career. He was not a stage father.

Another name comes to mind on a positive note, that being Matthew Knowles. He is the father and former manager of R&B singers Beyonce and current manager of Solange Knowles. Matthew believed in the talent of the young group "Destiny's Child" and voluntarily dedicated his time to

manage them, He resigned from his job as a medical-equipment salesman, a move that reduced Knowles' family's income by half. Matthew Knowles played a very large (unabusive) part into the success of "Destiny's Child," and one cannot deny the vocal/musical skills he brought out in his daughter Beyonce.

Whew!

My point being. what fact/fictional biopic movies, stories from the press or documented memories from famous rock and roll musicians have ran across?

By the way a (near belated, and belated)

"Happy Father's Day" to all the Fathers in the house. rose rose rose rose rose rose rose and coffee beer martini coffee water teapot and heart to your day.

Britney Spears' Father: (Jamie Spears) was a building contractor. A recovering alcoholic who stepped up to the plate when his daughter's life was spiraling out of control. Literally saved her life.

Makes cheese-grits for her in the morning.

We love you Mr. Spears.
