Old School Songs You Hate! Change of Pace...

I can't stand this song--no matter what anyone says and no matter how many times I hear it. What are the old school songs you can't stand, no matter how may people like them and possible accolades they have received over the years? This song--Angel Baby--I can't stand! razz

I Will Survive-Gloria Gaynor! Overrated and overexposed! Great voice, but she's got to go! WTF was she doing at MJ's 30th anniversary? I had no idea all these years she was there until my mom found a performance and I was shocked she found something I didn't know of!

Really? lol That must be a Bay Area thing, because I don't hear that song getting that much airplay in NY.

I haven't heard that song in years, but I'd be honest the last time I did hear it on the radio, I cringed.

I absolutely adore Stevie Wonder, but I hate "I Just Called To Say I Love You"!!!!!!! Hate, hate, hate....I've only seen Stevie in concert once and that damn song got one of the biggest - if not the biggest - responses of the show. sad

-"I Need Love" by Donna Summer. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the majority of her songs for reasons I already mentioned (except for "Bad Girls," "She Works Hard For The Money," and "The Wanderer" (which is one of my favorites)), but THIS! THIS song just feels flat-out empty and boring. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't get tired of hearing "I need love, I need love, I need love" over and over!!!

I think you mean "I Feel Love" lol It's not one of my favorite Donna Summer songs, either.I appreciate the fact that it was groundbreaking for its time, but Donna isn't using the full power of her voice. That's a problem I have with her first few albums. They wanted her to be this "sex goodess" and sound like she's getting laid (lol). She wasn't alllowed to use her strong, impressive vocals.

lol That's a very funny observation. He probably couldn't wait for some rumors to get started about him. He was trying to kick it off with a few of his own, lol.

That song is the National Anthem for "The Children", and you're not allowed to let it get on your nerves, lol. You must memorize every word, feel them, and then be able to lip-sync them back along with Ms. Gaynor, in choreographed defiance at the very first sign of a teardrop.
