I don't like the lead singer's attitude in this song.He wasn't even famous when this song was released, and yet he's complaining about everyone talking about him? lol "look at all these rumors surrounding me everyday".Oh really?? rolleyes lol

lol That's a very funny observation. He probably couldn't wait for some rumors to get started about him. He was trying to kick it off with a few of his own, lol.

Another vote for "I Will Survive".

I'll raise with Aretha's "R.E.S.P.E.C.T.".

I absolutely adore Stevie Wonder, but I hate "I Just Called To Say I Love You"!!!!!!! Hate, hate, hate....I've only seen Stevie in concert once and that damn song got one of the biggest - if not the biggest - responses of the show. sad

I told a guy I used to like Stevie was one of my favourites too along with Michael, he said he likes him too, then later quoted that song. Idiot. I do like that song cause it's the first I knew as a kid, but there is more to him than that.

I don't really consider anything old school unless it's before 1985 and I can't really think of anything (on the R&B side of the fence) before 1985 that I don't like.

Now, for those who consider old school to go on up until the end of the 1980s, well, that's easy. Any and everything by Shitney Houston, Anita Faker, Deady Jackson, and folks like them. But a song that I have always hated from a group that used to be good, was that damn "Secret Lovers" by Atlantic Star.

This is the same group that had previously done sexy after midnight sounding songs like "Am I Dreaming" and "Send For Me" and for them to come out with some adult contemporary sounding shit like "Secret Lovers" was just horrible. But then again, that's what happens when groups try to crossover. The music becomes weak and the late 1980s was THE era of crossover. barf

Actually I can't stand most of the Jackson 5 hits. neutral With the exceptions of "I Want You Back", "I'll Be There", "Get It Together", "Maybe Tomorrow", "Looking Through the Windows", "Dancing Machine" and "All I Do Is Think of You". I actually prefer the Jacksons over the J5. shrug

The Chi-Lites song got played so many times... I'll be happy not hearing it again either especially since they haven't played "For God's Sake (Give More Power to the People)" and "Are You My Woman" anymore? mad

And don't get me started on "Always & Forever". Great love song but damn people act like that's the only song they ever put out. That, "Boogie Nights" and "Groove Line" and "Mind Blowing Decisions". neutral Don't even mention "No Half Steppin'", I bet radio disk jockeys who play "classic R&B" don't even know it. rolleyes

"Exhale (The Shoop Shoop Song)" by Whitney Houston

Whitney has said that, when Babyface presented this song to her,she thought he was crazy lol He had to convince her to sing this crap. How can one of the greatest songwriters/producers of the 90s come up with a song that has a ridiculous chorus consisting of "shoop,shoop,shoop....shoo be doop...shoop,shoop,shoop"? disbelief

Oh, so she waits until the 1990s to start making excuses. Hell, didn't nobody have to twist her arm in the 1980s. lol

Stevie Wonder is my favorite artist but I can't stand this song.I still insist that he should have kept "Let's Get Serious" for himself, placed it on the 'Hotter Than July' album and released it as the first single.

groove. Now the one song i hate by Stevie is Part Time Lover. Ah man that is pure

barfarama.

OMG. For this guy to go from singing songs like "Zoom" with the Commodores to this mess is beyond words. He should be slapped once every day for this. They used to seriously play this to death like it was a serious jam.

I think you could get any secret out of me if you locked me up in a room and blasted this in my ear. I would be like " I'll tell you" "I'll tell you" just please cut this damn song off...lol
