You actually believe this garbage-ridden statement? Then what the fuck are you even doing in this thread? To flame/insult the man's talent?

GETDAFUCKOUTTAHURR!

[Edited 6/4/11 15:56pm]

MJ was the best singer and dancer the music industry has ever known. However, he never excelled in other areas. In addition, at some point he became too controversial to be taken serious. Along with his pathological family, he was one of the saddest freakshows the world has seen to this day and age.

I see..

And am I to assume you're some sort of expert? You know for a fact that he didn't excell in other areas? You lived with the man personally, observed every facet of his life, were there in the recording studio, heard and saw everything? You personally know the Jackson family to generalize them all as "pathological"?

No, you didn't. What you have here is a fairly nuanced conclusion you came to from your own inductive reasoning. An opinion based on sensationalist garbage that you choose to take for fact.

That's your opinion, and you're free to keep it. But don't expect anyone else in this thread to take your claims seriously.

*just* a Singer & Dancer huh?

Never excelled in other areas?

You sure about that?

You don't consider song writing, composition, and arranging another area?

You don't consider producing another area?

You don't consider business, and business publishing another area?

You don't consider poetry another area?

You don't consider propelling music videos into an art form another area?

You don't consider his influence over fashion, music and marketing another area? (or another 3).

You don't consider humanitarian efforts another area?

Not bad for just a singer and dancer.

Like I said - you have a right to your opinion - you also have a right to be wrong.

Come on now - no way is that Mike.

First off the arms are all different.

Second off you think if a major perfume company has MJ as their talent they wouldn't promote it?

Sorry guys - wishful thinking.

Michael Jackson Must-See: Panini Honors The King of Pop’s Top 20 Achievements

Let’s be honest: If we really wanted to create a trading card set that honored the greatest achievements ofMichael Jackson’s storied career, we’d need a whole lot more than just 20 cards. Heck, we’d need that many cards just to cover his pre-teen years.

So we really had to scrutinize The King of Pop’s remarkable resume to select his most notable accomplishments for inclusion in the 20-card Achievements subset in the early June release of Panini America’s official Michael Jackson ...g card set.

We hope diehard MJ devotees and casual fans alike find our selections — including his 1984 Grammysfor Record of the Year (“Billie Jean”), Album of the Year (“Thriller”), his 1993 Living Legend Award and his 1995 Guinness World Record for Most Expensive Video (“Scream” at the cost of $7 million) – to be spot on.

You can view all 20 Achievements cards (fronts and backs) in the captivating gallery below. Stay tuned toThe Knight’s Lance for continuing coverage of this history-making card set, including an upcoming post on the unique Jackson-worn memorabilia incorporated into the set.

That's all MJ was about: records for the biggest this and biggest that. He wanted to be the biggest, never the best. Who cares if Jackson has the most expensive video ever? Or the biggest selling album? Prince is not a powershouse seller nor recordist and I still find him godly better than Jacko.

Question...I was watching Janet's interview with Piers Morgan on CNN last night, which was rerun, and Piers said he actually interviewed Michael once...and he quoted what Michael said about late Princess Diana...I don't think I've ever seen or read this interview. Does anyone know when this interview took place?? Thanks... boxed

It was in 1998/1999 I think and recorded over the phone. I have the audio of it somewhere.

It was very out of the blue at the time as he wasn't in the news much. It wasn't even around the MJ & Friends concerts if I remember correctly. All of a sudden there was some front page exclusive MJ interview in The Mirror tabloid newspaper (Piers was the editor at the time) in 2 part instalments.

They never admitted it, but MJ had just won his lawsuit against The Mirror that had gone on for years when they printed a doctored photo of his face with a hole in his nose from back in 1992/93, and MJ asked for no monetary compensation after the retraction. The positive interview with Piers Morgan was probably an agreement of the terms of the lawsuit.

It really wasn't a very interesting interview though.
