Sooo I assume we will not get to hear the original 1982 mix of BTM..??

Considering people got their hands on quite a couple of tracks recently, someone could possibly have it but just won't share

the CDQ version Love Never Felt So Good

Do You Know Where Your Children Are

Blue Gangsta

Slave To The Rhythm

I Am A Loser

Hollywood Tonight (Demo)

People Of The World

the early CD version of Much Too Soon (before they added the accordian parts)

and of course, the Cascio songs

Black Widow

Burn Tonight

All I Need

Stay

Water

Solider Boy

someone might have it

None of these tracks do much for me, except a full version of I Am A Loser. When Buffalo Bill, Tomboy, Men In Black, A Place With No Name, anything Will.I.Am leak, well then that will be the day biggrin

Great stuff. Btw, can someone tell me what all these MJ depositions are for? I remember one for The Girl Is Mine etc. Does every artist have to go through these depositions? I'm confused.confused

It was just a woman you claimed she wrote Dangerous. Through his career Michael had 3 (4?) lawsuits brought by others who claimed they wrote songs. All were found in Michael's favour. The only time MJ was found to have borrowed from another song was the chant from Wanna Be Startin' Something which was based on a chant in a Manu Dibango 1972 disco song "Soul Makossa" - Michael thought it was a tribal chant, not something he created for the song. Dibango now gets royalties for WBSS.

I LOVE Do You Know Where Your Children Are lol

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure about the Will.I.Am sessions. I like Will's solo work on 'Songs About Girls' and the early BEP (pre Fergie) stuff BUT knowing the crap he's churned out over the past 10 years..... I hope that he and Michael didn't follow that path neutral

I agree - DYKWYCA was a cool track and still holds up with an undeniable hook.

As for the will.i.am work - the sounds we heard during the extra visit to Ireland did sound cool - it Will brought cool beats I know MJ would bring great melodies. As long as Will wasn't trying to get a myhumps kinda track out of MJ, lol.

No worries... Mike has standards smile . My feeling is the two of them made some incredible music together. I think Will.I.Am was the best producer MJ could've worked with (and I agree, Will has had his share of crappy songs). But I think MJ and Will had the similar chemistry that MJ had with Teddy on Dangerous omg Hopefully time will prove my theory right.

Difference being Teddy was actually a genius at what he was doing so his collaborations with Michael made more sense. lol

Songs About Girls and the Sergio Mendes albums had some great production on them along with the Timberlake song, Damn Girl and some under-rated John Legend stuff. Lyrically, some Will.I.Am songs can be cheesy or weak but that wouldn't be a worry with MJ. I think Will.I.Am has shown the potential for greatness at times in his career but the problem is he lacks consistency and sometimes substance. Get Will's beats and ideas and form that with the overall genius of Michael Jackson and I assure you, some great material was made.

So David Gest has a new documentary out about Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson Documentary from Old Pal David Gest Gets Screened

michael_jackson_1364225c

Remember David Gest, Michael Jackson’s bff and Liza Minnelli‘s one time husband, he of the Shirley Temple shrine in his home and the waxed eyebrows? Well, he’s back. Gest has made a documentary about Jackson called “The Real Michael Jackson.” He screened it recently in Los Angeles for a select group that included Smokey Robinson, Angie Dickinson, and Katherine Jackson and her son, Tito.

The source I spoke to says the documentary is pretty good mainly because it includes lots of rare footage of Michael and the Jacksons. How Gest got the rights to the footage, I don’t know. He does have plans to release the doc in the UK. Here’s the copy from the invite he sent out, I’ve reprinted it with typos:

PLEASE JOIN ME FOR A PRIVATE SCREENING OF MY FIRST FILM ‘THE REAL MICHAEL JACKSON’ ON THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2011 PM AT 8:00 PM AT THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK THEATRE ON THE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS LOT. YOUR NAME WILL BE LEFT AT THE GATE AND THEIR WILL BE PARKING. I HAVE ENCLOSED DIRECTIONS AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THE PARKING OR DIRECTIONS CALL MS. xxxxxxx AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS ON (818) 777-xxxx

I AM VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT UNIVERSAL PICTURES UK HAS ALREADY PURCHASED THE WORLD DVD RIGHTS AND MR MARK REYNOLDS OF BBC WORLWIDE MEDIA CENTRE (THE TOP DISTRIBUTOR IN THE WORLD) HAVE SIGNED FOR EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION RIGHTS. THIS IS A MOST UNIQUE FILM AND ACCORDING TO LEGENDARY PRODUCER LAMONT DOZIER: ”THE REAL MICHAEL JACKSON’ IS MORE THAN JUST A DOCUMENTARY, IT IS AN EPIC TELEVISION FILM AND QUITE POSSIBLY THE MOST REMARKABLE DOCUMENTARY I HAVE EVER SEEN!’

A DRINKS & HORS D’OEUVRES RECEPTION WILL FOLLOW THE SCREENING AT A LOCATION NEAR THE STUDIO (LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED). PLEASE JOIN ME FOR THE SCREENING & RECEPTION BY RSVP TO MY E-MAIL. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2011 AT 8:00 PM AT THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK THEATRE AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS. THE FILM IS 90 MINUTES.

BEST REGARDS,

DAVID GEST

Is that what we are to expect now with "never before seen" photos, lol.

Yeah, I know MJ thought Will was great, but I never shared his views - most of the stuff he's done with Black Eyed Peas is totally snore-inducing, to me.

I've always thought one of MJ's biggest musical mistakes in the latter part of his career is that he never collaborated with Timbaland. A lot of the stuff Timbaland was doing with Ginuwine, Aaliyah and Justin Timberlake just seemed perfect for MJ to me and I never ever understood why that team-up never happened.

I always wanted to hear a Neptunes/MJ collab. I think that would have been great - Justified tracks aside.

Timbaland would have been cool tool.

Will had the goods back on the first 2 B.E.P. albums for me - but when Fergie joined some of the cool old skool hip hop vibe went out the window.

Actually alpha - the pic is slightly different to the one in the HIStory booklet - then one in the booklet was the standard promo shot from 86. This *new* one (and I use the term loosely) is only slightly different in that MJ is smiling as Timmy and myself pointed out - so they are justified in saying it's new but with 100 shots taken at each photoshoot I laugh that they will be rolling out proof shots for years now, all with the *new* and *rare* tag.

Although I liked this picture a lot, I haven't looked at the booklet in years though I remember it, I guess it's a slight difference being passed off as new and rare lmfao!!! It's like the one time I was watching ET, and they said Yellow Submarine is a newly discovered rare song, when I've already known it since the 80's (my family played Beatles' records)

QUESTION:

Are those lyrics on the song On My Anger Legit ?

Baby
Now I'm Mad
The World Treats Me Like An Everyday Dump
They Call Me Names, Threaten My Family
And I Always Say

On My Anger
On My Anger
Tonight
On My Anger
On My Anger
It's Gonna Be A Bite

Honey
What You Do To Me
You Strike Me Like A Lightning Bolt
And
Baby
Won't You Stay For Awhile
Cause Fame Is Treating Me Insane

On My Anger
On My Anger
Tonight
On My Anger
On My Anger
It's Gonna Be A Bite

On My Anger
On My Anger
Tonight
On My Anger
On My Anger
It's Gonna Be A Bite

And Now I'm Trying To Move On
Though It Feels Like Nobody Loves Me
And Now I'm All Beat Up
By The Gangster Down The Street!

On My Anger
On My Anger
Tonight
On My Anger
On My Anger
It's Gonna Be A Bite

On My Anger
On My Anger
Tonight
On My Anger
On My Anger
It's Gonna Be A Bite
