Of course there's so much Sony can do with the tracks/videos, but WILL they do it? Of course us die hard MJ fans are going Lady gaga over unreleased music, but I don't think we'll hear any of the records "as they were". Sony's job is to release albums, not collections of unreleased music. These album have to cater to the radio market, so any unreleased song making its way on a new MJ release WILL be remixed with added production and Jason Malachi edited vocals...

The most authentic piece of music we can get from MJ is a Bad or HIStory tour DVD...

Sony will be wanting to recoup their investment. I have no issue with them finishing songs off with backing vocalists (assuming MJ didn't record backing vocals for some demos) or updating the sound of things ONLY if they also give us a chance to hear the original demos our source material they were working from. Even if it's a deluxe edition for the diehards (casual listeners may not be that interested).

I also think that expanded editions of past albums will be the route they pursue from here on in - I don't think Michael was the success they hoped for, so they will focus on what they do best - repackage solid albums. Hopefully some care is given.

I don't think a live album will be released (unless it is the BAD tour) and only then I think it will be a DVD/CD combo deal. Again the mass appeal will ultimately dictate the next few releases.

As states in my post above - I would love to hear the source material of all the Michael tracks. Even hearing the a capella version of some of the songs gives you a clue as to what they were working with.

If we get expanded editions of albums, then the demo's on the album will be a different scenario because they won't be released as a single. I'd love to get an expanded edition of Dangerous with the demos. They might as well break out the "Decade" album

I want to see a re-release of the Invincible album. Since Sony fucked up the promotion the first time, I wonder if they would redeem themselves this time. I still listen to that album more than any other album by Michael. I want to see it re-released with Bonus Tracks. R&B radio LOVED this album and played it death. MJ gained a whole lot of new fans with Invincible and it brought a lot of old R&B fans back.

I know many fans want to rearrange Invincible for fun and I myself made suggestions in the past, but to me, it's an insult to do that to an album/creation of his when he's not here to approve that and cares so much about the album arrangement whether we agree or disagree with the final result. Out of respect, I would prefer the extra tracks on a second disc if there was to be a re-release. Just the way you wouldn't expect an album like Thriller or Bad to be re-arranged just to sell more.

I don't think anyone is truly suggesting Sony reissue Invincible with tracks taken out - as you say it is a body of work Michael wanted in a certain way.

I have always argued it was too many tracks for the album to hold, and if stripped back to 10 or so tracks would have been a stronger more viable album. It is just too uneven an album in my books, and have created my own version of Invincible on itunes - and I think many fans have.

That isn't to say though that Sony should - as it is altering history - and my comment was said in jest. I'm all for hearing bonus tracks.
