I have to disagree with this. If Beyonce does not have a great voice then I'm not sure then what is a great singing voice. Mariah is a good singer, but she's Mariah. Beyonce can sing, and she can dance. I would like anyone here to try getting up on stage and dancing in heels the way she does. Its her material that sucks. She need good songs, she has failed to show any growth. She has the talent but she rather rely on stupid anthem songs and gimmicks, when all she has to do is let her natural talent shine through. Shame what a waste.

I don't get people saying 'Where's the melody?'. She is singing. Someone mentioned 'Hollaback Girl', that had less singing than this does so.. not totally getting that.

I like the song, it's a banger. Typical Beyonce attitude but, the video is terrible. The camera angles are rigid and boring, doing nothing.

The first dance with the 2 guys... just terrible. You know how Britney Spears can't dance anymore? It just looked like Beyonce was doing the same, that '1,2,3,4' of just walking on the spot at 1:31 was ridiculous.

So disappointed.

I agree with that BUT as much as I dont really like Beyonce and think she is overrated I have to honestly say that she is talented. She wastes her talent terribly though which is why I will never be a fan

I think that she is overrated though. I also think that alot of other things besides her voice like her dancing, for example are very mediocre and not that up to par with the accolades.

However she is talented vocally. I just think that her "talent" is nothing special and there are plenty of singers with the SAME talent and alot who are far more talented vocally.

I can give props where it is dued BUT as far as her being the BEST out now, as far as her being a talented dancer, as far as her being a GREAT performer, as far as her music being GREAT, as far as her music videos being EPIC..as far as her being a songerwriter etc and all that other bullshit.. nah thats utter bullshit. Beyonce is just a talented singer and she puts on some good shows at times nothing more or less. She is talented but I am not BLOWN away by it and that is why she is constantly being compared to other artists who DEMONSTRATE the type of talent that critics claim Beyonce has that she doesnt.

she doesn't do it all the time, i've heard her sing live and she has a great voice. you may be right about the dancing. she's needs a good choregrapher with exception Single Ladies video which i thought was awesome.

beyonce is not that exceptionally talented. there are plenty of black girls who can dance just like beyonce and sing just as well. Go to ANY black neighborhood and you will see that atleast half if not 3/4's of the black girls can dance and sing

look at this, and this came out 2006 three years before single ladies, and these black girls can really move.

The quality of this video is bad but it came out 2007, this was before single ladies, and mind you some of the dance routine and leotard looks similar. Beyonce is jackin these girls style.

Thats because most people are just not that music/entertainment conscience and they limit themselves to MAINSTREAM which is why some think Beyonce is above and beyond when she really isnt but it is whatever. What critics, award shows etc says doesnt matter. If you look at ALL the legendary artists and artists who have made a profound impact on the music industry they didnt get nearly as many awards than her (Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Prince) but that shows you that AWARDS does not matter. Legacy, classics, material etc speaks for itself and the real music lovers will see that.
