No Joe still lives in Vegas. He hasn't been in Hayvenhurst for YEARS. lol He's only in Hayvenhurst for PR reasons. He may even try to sell the home (but the estate won't let him since the estate is in control of the house...OOPS).

MJ Estate to Alejandra -- MOVE OUT ALREADY!!!

[img:$uid]http://ll-media.tmz.com/2011/03/11/0311-alejandra-michael-ex-getty.jpg[/img:$uid]

Lawyers for the estate just filed a response to Alejandra's request to stay in the house indefinitely ... in which the estate once again makes the point .. she's an UNWANTED house guest with no legal leg to stand on.

Alejandra -- who has children with both Randy and Jermaine Jackson -- has refused to leave ... arguing, among other things, that Michael would have wanted her to stay there.

Alejandra has claimed the estate has tried to literally starve her out of house and home ... by removing all of the food from the property and changing the locks on her.

A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Stay tuned.

Michael's cousin Tony too

During the Oprah behind the scenes special, there were more hanger ons in the house than there were Jacksons, and you know there's ALOT of Jacksons lol

They're from pretentious douchebags. This is why sites, such as Pitchfork make me rage so hard. Their reviews are, at least, the length of a college thesis and then they spend, literally, one fucking paragraph talking about the actual music. At least The Rolling Stone magazine has slightly improved from their super racist ways back from when they first started. There's nothing more infuriating than people who are, supposedly, reviewing music and then want to rant about the artist. Like seriously, STFU. No one cares about your stupid social commentary. Talk about the MUSIC ONLY. This is why music journalists like Greg Tate annoy the shit out of me. Like, seriously, FUCK YOU. Pretentious douchebags are the worst.

I suspect that as time goes on and people no longer have the gossip, they can, finally, just see the music for what it was. Yes he had a lot of songs about being persecuted by the media, but this is something that was important to him & he felt necessary to get out there. Just like any other artist out there who writes a lot of love songs or even R.Kelly who has some interesting song about sex or whatever. I mean...that's who he is, as an artist. They are not machines. They are human beings who are just utilizing their art to express themselves...as well as to sell.

i happen to be one of those people who do like academic writings about music. i consider everything to be political, so music for me, carries those values. i see michael and his art in a completely socio-political framework, which is why i found vogel's comments on michael's political sensibilities compelling. because i don't see many people writing about that at all.

i DO agree with you however, that publications like pitchfork are a bit pretentious, and only like certain pieces of music if it fills a certain characteristic. but music is subjective, as all art is. for some, music has a political connotation. others love speaking about the technical aspects. i happen to love both. i think there SHOULD be more writings about the meat of michael's art, as opposed to the superficial stuff.

that's what i loved about swedien's book as well. he spoke about everything from an engineering standpoint.

1. According to Michael, Quincy did approach him about recording the record but Michael said he was tired because he [MJ] just finished Thriller and didn't want to record. Quincy did say it was for the children, which made MJ accept the offer.

2. Again, according to MJ, Lionel wrote 1 or 2 lines and said that's all he came up with. MJ finished the rest. In the 1985 studio demo, you can hear MJ pretty much coming up with the lyrics with very little help from Lionel.

3. To my knowledge, Prince didn't attend the recording but he DID send over a guitar solo for the record, but the piece was rejected.

4. Don't know about that one

Someone on Niketalk said that Lionel wrote most of it lol

The guy also said Michael barely wrote his own songs, saying Michael had a team of writers write the songs and he'd take credit....with his evidence being Quincy's interview on the Thriller special edition CD....although Quincy never said that lol

???????????????????????????????????

michael's got too many running themes in his music to NOT write that stuff. it's sad that he is understated as a writer/arranger... i think he is a PHENOMENAL arranger! just listen to the intros and bridges of 'heartbreak hotel' or 'sunset driver'... those are brilliant pieces.

There's few artists who reviews I don't bother with. Michael is one of those artists. Pitchfork's reviews of him come with a obvious bias, such as saying his music post 1985 is unlistenable, and throwing jabs at him while praising other artists

Thinking about it now, I rarely read reviews from publications like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Vibe and others on any of my favorite artists because they aren't going to cloud my judgement on the music. I rather have my opinions than have them laid upon me by people who aren't going to appreciate it or get the context....

basically, reviews don't mean jack to me lol
