Bossa Nova You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Jobim's "Waters of March" (Águas de Março) is a gorgeous composition about the natural balance between life and death. [Edited 7/25/14 14:02pm]

Mickey, how about just twenty posts a day. lol
You keep posting things you know orgers don't care about. Most of them only like commercial music. In one ear and out the other. They cannot be helped.
And, yes, I adore Bossa. Jorge Ben amigo. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Someone merge my Jobim thread with this thread. Did Prince ever deny he had sex with his sister? I believe not. So there U have it..

Yeah, me too. I was just thinking earlier: MickyDolenz is one of the few people left around here that posts on a regular to keep things going. Usually interesting, but always different, stuff.

Nice selection. Enjoyed these while doing some writing. Gotta download some of this stuff later on.
I don't think the comment about orgers not caring about these threads is entirely accurate. These threads seem to have gotten more replies recently than many other threads. The most popular threads always tend to be the type of "showbiz rumour" or "x vs. y" threads that engage people into discussion. Yet, they're hardly only about the music.
Also... is it just me or has the "mainstream pop" quota sort of decreased on this forum lately? When I've taken a glance at this forum there's been more of a varied selection of topics again, whereas at one point it was entirely dominated by a certain number of people starting topics on mainstream pop artists.
