They were supposed to reunite and tour, I last heard, in 2009.

They are finishing their new album. Slowly.

And Gwen frequently updates their feeds (Facebook, Twitter, etc) with pics and stuff.

The best part is when I've been waiting, as a die hard ND fan since 19fucking95, for their new album for 10 YEARS............................. Gwen is busy tweeting pics of her stupid fucking dresses and her hair. UGH.

One time I commented on their status and said how unbelievably long it has taken them to merely get half way done with this record and Tom Dumont replied saying that they weren't really taking all that long at all (he misunderstood, I meant AS IN 10 YEARS not that they were being in the studio right NOW too long than normal).

Yeah they're busy finishing this album. It seems like they're keeping things on the hush. I think one of them, I think it was the guitarist, that said their album is sure to come out this year.

Sometimes, yeah! She does! No joke! lol

The bassist, Tony Kanal, tweeted once that they were having a family day at the studio and had kids running all around.

Seriously? eek

Isn't Tragic Kingdom the one with "Don't Speak" and "Just a Girl" on there?!

I don't think anything they do can really get better than that era - that was when everyone liked them.

I have always thought Return of Saturn (1999) and Rock Steady (2001) were way better albums than Tragic Kingdom.

Yeah... No wonder it's taking them so long. They gotta stay away from making "parents" rock music. Mom-in-her-sweatpants-vacuuming ballads. Songs dad can listen to while driving. etc.

To each their own, sure - but there's classic, classic stuff on Tragic Kingdom.

Seriously for the past couple days i've been on Nodoubt/Gwen Stefani listening binge...I'm patiently waiting for new material from either camp. Gwen is doing her thang in the fashion world..I'm so happy for her.

I'm more excited for a new Gwen release than a No Doubt one. for some reason I could never get into them, aside from a few songs here and there.

"what's that book where they're all behind the wardrobe?"

I really dig her but she almost turned me off for good with that whole Sound Of Music thing she dropped after LoveAngelMusicBaby.

No Doubt, my first love! I'm personally a fan of their 2nd album and independent release(then rereleased by Interscope) Beacon Street Collection smile Their 2009 tour was fun, I can't wait for new tunes.

Yes they are. Apart from the 3-4 singles, TK is boring random filler. Also the prime example of when record labels forced the listeners to buy the whole album because of one big hit, the common practice of the late 90s.

Will they release the album independently? I can't see any major label wanting to associate themselves with ND at this point. Gwen was huge in the mid-00s but then Fergie, Gaga etc came and stole her thunder, their 2009 tour seemed like a non-event and they don't seem to be that excited to have new music out. I just hope the new songs won't be total rehashes of the past only to "please the hardcore fans"...

I think there great albums as well! but most people i know complain saying Tragic Kingdom was there masterpiece.

Rock Steady came out in 01 when i was in 5thy grade and got me in to No Doubt.... i still think it hold's up

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
