When I told her how much I loved Emerald City that it was my favorite record she just made this face and kept signing like I hadn't said anything. You had to be there, but it was so funny...like she thought I was trying to kiss her ass with my remark and she wasn't in the mood for it.

No, Teena was fine. She didn't have an attitude or anything like that, not at all. She signed all my stuff, she just didn't have a conversation with me about Emerald City, which I didn't expect her to. The look on her face though when I brought it up was classic. You really had to be there. She was gracious enough to take a picture with me, which turned out really great. Far as I know, Teena loved that album, but was very disappointed her audience didn't get that into it. Disappointed to the point where she seldom/never played any of that material live.
