LCD Soundystem - Sound of Silver

Does anyone still remember this album? Hell, I think it was great, easily one of the best albums of 2007, and possibly the best dance album of the second half of the 00s...

whatever happened to LCD Soundsystem??. The (just ok) last album is not selling very well, and is it true that James Murphy wants to dissolve the act...??

I think This Is Happening is a good album from 2010.

really? I think the album doesn't truly get away from the sound of Sound of Silver, the late-70s and early-80s influences are too clear, and a couple of songs are just plain bad, Pow Pow specially ill

Home is the best song, for me...

It's a definite classic. I'd put it among the top 5 albums of the 2000s, and I love a lot of albums from the 2000s!

It hit me really hard when it came out, and it still thrills me to this day. "All My Friends" is one of the few songs I've ever heard live that brought be to big bouts of weeping. lol

I like This Is Happening a lot, but I agree that it isn't as good. With songs like "All I Want", "I Can Change", "Home", "One Touch", "Dance Yrself Clean" and "You Wanted a Hit", though, it's quite ace in its own right.

As for James Murphy wanting to dissolve the band, that was known long before the album. He said he wanted to stop with LCD Soundsystem once he hit 40, which happened this year.

well, that's sad then sad neutral this act "certainly" has potential lol ; LCD Soundsystem is (was?) the closest thing to the old electronic Prince of the 82-83 era (I'm talkin' about tracks like Something in the Water, All the Critics Luv U in NY, Lust U Always...)
