Doesn't she have a Vegas residency deal and a reality show? Like many other artists, she's capable of finding gigs and making money. She just doesn't know how to manage and budget her money.
Toni cancelled her Las Vegas residency at the Flamingo in 2008, citing a heart condition. Her Vegas house was taken by foreclosure this year and resold.
Currently, she lives somewhere in Los Angeles. |

I assume she was delusional ever since 2000 that her music career could bounce back so she kept pretending she was still a STAR and could afford all those stuff. And yes, health problems don't excuse luxury expenses.
Wonder what she's gonna do now? Become a news presenter? |

"Braxton Family Values", the reality series, was set to premiere on Bravo this fall but the channel has not, so far as I know, included it in its promo lineup. |

I agree.
I think she made TOO many mistakes after The Heat. The Heat was her last "big" album. She messed up by releasing "More Than A Woman" after that. That album is one of the worst albums on my shelf. It wasn't a "Toni Braxton" album, but a hip-hop album with some Toni Braxton vocals.
After that, she released Libra. Libra (to me) was a really good album and would have made a great followup to The Heat. The problem was that she was suing LaFace and trying to work with Barry Hankerson. She let him just KILL the little career she had left. Libra could have been big, but when no one will have you on their show to promote your album, you have a problem. Come on, she did Macy's Thanksgiving Parade (or one of those parades) singing on a float!
She really needs to examine what kind of career that she wants. I hope she has a good lawyer that can negotiate with her bill collectors and the insurance company to help get out of this mess.

It's sad when you think about her career (and life) in the long run. Obviously she played a role in the way it played out just like everyone else.
Maybe she'll get her own "Unsung" episode |

I think I have a new phase.
"Well how broke are you?" "Hammer broke?"
"No, Braxton broke"
Toni and Dawn Robinson sure can run through some millions. [Edited 10/8/10 11:13am] |

It just proves my point. You have to be taught how to handle money. It is not something that is meant to last forever. Besides, most of the stuff they buy is a wast of money anyway. Get a few nice things and call it a day. You have kids you have to put through school. |

Man what Toni did was more embarrassing than Hammer. Least Hammer got back some dignity after blowing his millions. Toni's been through it TWICE. Not even TLC was this foolish. Got damn! |

If Ms. Braxton is considered for an "Unsung" , that show should be canceled. Pull the plug! |

"A fool and his money are soon parted".
"A borrower is a slave to a lender".
Toni should permanently tattoo the above idiom and passage from Proverbs, respectively, on her forehead. She's carrying massive debt because she can't seem to live on a budget. |

I wanna say I feel sorry for Miss Braxton but I sure as stony hell am NOT......
You'd think the woman learned her lesson by now(esp considering that she's a parent this time around) but noooooooooo, lil' miss Zsa Zsa Gabor wouldn't think of it. Dumb ass.
She has a lot of medical problems and she had to give up her gig in Vegas because of her health issues. So cut her a little slack.
Somehow, hundreds of millions of other people with significant health issues all around the world do not wind up $10-50 million in debt. She doesn't garner any sympathy from me for that.
