Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting the group SLAVE in Denver on august the 3rd. Their show was a part of The Sickle Cell Cure Concert Series.The band was in top form and also featured original guitarist DRAC and Mark "BassDog" Adams. I learned a very interesting bit of trivia while riding with them from the airport to their hotel.

I asked them since they were young (17&18 yrs old) when the song SLIDE became a big hit, their biggest!!! It was a unique track back in 77.' Where did the idea for the musical part of the song come from? Especially the bass line?
